Monday Mary and I went to the trampoline park with Irina and Alexander. We were joined by Julia and Nica, and we met Julia's friend, Ana, and her son Yaric. Ana is also from Russia and is married to a guy from Michigan. Mary was enjoying stacking the foam blocks but got frustrated when the other kids kept knocking down her tower. Tuesday, we went to the library where Mary enjoyed making a block tower again that she got to knock over herself when she was done. Then Mary got playing in the library courtyard with a little boy named Toby and a little girl named Olive. I talked to the moms, Olivia and Michelle. The kids were having so much fun that none of them wanted to leave, we stayed an extra hour so they could play. Mary gave Toby a hug when we left, it was the first time she has given another little kid a hug.

Mary is 16 months old as of Wednesday. We went to the children's museum where we ran into Ana and Julia and their kids, Nica and Yaric. We hung out with them for about two hours. Mary wasn't really playing with them, just doing her own thing, probably because Nica kept taking the toys she was playing with.

Friday Paul got to work from home, so we decided to drive to Crescent City, CA. We got there that evening and took Mary to the beach. We also got to see the Trees of Mystery where we saw crazy tree formations and took a gondola ride up to get a great view of the forest. After Mary took a nap, we went to the aquarium where we got to touch starfish, anemones, and sharks. We also got to see rockfish, leopard sharks, bat rays, and white sturgeon. After the tour, we saw a seal and sea lion show. We played at the beach and Mary loved running in the waves. I asked if she wanted to go, and she said no and ran back to the water. On the way home we drove through the Avenue of the Giants and went on a little walk through the forest. Such a fun long weekend.
