Tuesday marked 4 years since Mike's passing. I showed the girls some pictures of him with Dad and Mary. We also looked at some of the pictures he took. Thursday we went to the library and made dinosaurs out of Legos. I taught piano that night. Saturday we went to Carson City. We went to the park and Mary rode her bike. She did really well! Another family came to the park then they left then they came back with their bikes. That was good because it encouraged Mary to ride her bike more than she originally wanted to. Dad took Katie in the backpack carrier and went for a walk. I stayed with Mary while she played with the other little girl named Michelle. After that we went to Costco and reinstated our membership. We were disappointed to learn that Costco discontinued its protein powder. We got Chipotle for lunch then went home. Dad wasn't feeling too good so he took a nap. I cleaned the house and made dinner for the missionaries. It was funny, Mary asked me this week, “how many b...

Katie is getting so good at talking! This week she said, "do you want it? I don’t want it." (why?) "Because!" I made her a friendship bracelet and she calls it a "brace-er-ret" Mary had so much fun at the beach with Lydia and at the library making her bedazzled super hero mask that made her run fast and fly. Mom finished her second color analysis for a paying client. She did some batch filming and made videos for the next six weeks for social media marketing. Dad had a great week of following his exercise routine. He got his low testosterone treated, they gave him some medicine that will up his natural production. Monday I took the girls to Christa Seamons house while I went to my obgyn appointment in Reno. They had fun playing with the neighborhood kids and the Seamons dog. Tuesday I took the girls to dance class and made dinner for our neighbor that evening. They just had a baby girl last week. Wednesday we had two landscaping companies come by and check...

Katie said "a-bop" a lot while we were in Crescent City and she said it when we got home too. I didn't know what she was saying until we played "go to sleep then the alarm goes off." She said it then and I realized she was saying "wake up". That made the Crescent City trip more funny because she was saying it at the aquarium to the fish she thought were sleeping. She would also say "aw, cute!" and "let go!". She sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star while we were looking at the visitors center at Fort Churchill on Sunday. She counts with me when Mary is doing her mouthwash and she will sing the ABC song too. She is getting to be a great talker! Mary continues to love dressing up and reminded me of her Aunt Amelia this week when she mismatched her socks for each outfit. Amelia loved to do that when she was a young girl too. She loved pretending to be different creatures/animals this week. I got a hilarious video of her pretending to be a ...

Katie loved the aquarium. She would look at all the fish and say, "Wow!" over and over again. Wendy was scooting on the sand at the beach while we were doing our sand hand craft and she said, "ow, ow, ow" as she scooted. Katie then copied her scooting motion and repeated, "ow, ow, ow". Rachel said, "Oh geez" a few times on the trip and Katie copied her and would say, "oh geez" too. Mary was in heaven with every activity on this trip. She loved stomping through the forest at Avenue of the Giants, she loved the sea creatures at the aquarium - though she was a little nervous about petting the shark. The beach takes the cake for her favorite though. She could play there all day and all night forever and still be sad when it is time to go home. Grandma Wendy and Mary are kindred spirits in their love of the beach. Mom and girls joined Wendy and Rachel on their trip to Crescent City :) Dad stayed home from the trip because the Japanese team w...
