Katie likes to bite my finger when I brush her teeth. It really hurts! She was able to get herself into the baby seat attached to her activity table by herself somehow. She is getting more confident on her feet when I hold her hands and can take a couple of steps on her own. Funny things Mary said this week: "Tada! It’s your favorite room!" (Grandma's room). "Hey guys, what are you up to?" She likes to tell me her plan for the day and all the things she wants to do then ends with, "That sounds like a good deal?" (With thumbs up). She normally says strawberries the right way but Sunday she was struggling and kept saying, "strawderberellies". Mom got cute decor off fb marketplace and is excited about a book she requested through the library that will hopefully come soon. Dad got put on a new project for next 6 months then he is going to be promoted as a new tech lead, which entails finding new technology for the company to pursue. He has been s...

Katie on Monday could consistently take one step independently and by Saturday she can take two steps alone! She likes to shut drawers and doors, it sometimes gets her a little stuck though. Mary had to grab something and yelled back to me, "I'll be back as soon as I can!" Monday we watched Josie and Jack Durocher. I taught violin that night. Tuesday Mary had dance class. Paul stayed home from work for Veteran's Day. Wednesday we went to Josie's birthday party. The girls got Rapunzel braids, painted a sun picture, and broke open a pinata. That night I went to mutual where we delivered notes to the veterans in our ward.  Thursday we had exercise class. Saturday I taught violin. That night I went to a girls night at Sarah Johnson's house where we followed a painting video. I'm not a great painter but it went pretty well and was super fun. Sunday I was in nursery with Mary then we stayed after for a young women's presidency meeting. Katie and Mary ready f...

Katie watched me blow up a balloon for Mary then proceeded to grab one from the bag and try to blow it up herself. She applied that same idea to my arm while I was getting her in her pajamas after her bath. She laughed and it has been a fun game for us this weekend. Katie officially outgrew the pack and play and has officially moved into her crib in her and Mary's room. Mary is adjusting to having Katie in the same room as her at nighttime and is doing really well with the adjustment. While Josie and Jack were at our house, Mary said, "Jack is my husband!" Then she tried to kiss him. He just giggled and said, "She's trying to kiss me." He's two. Mom : The girls sharing a room this week has actually gone well. I don't think I've gotten up more with them than I normally would if Katie slept in our room. I finished putting together my guide for the 12 color palette seasons. This next week I'll work on body types and face shapes. I'm really e...

Katie likes to click her tongue and she started smacking her lips too, she's so snuggly and sweet. I think she might be going through a sleep regression though, she's getting so close to walking. She has been crawling on the grass this week, so she's either over her aversion to grass or wearing long pants help it not be so itchy. Mary and I were playing and I found something she had hidden. She said, "you found it! My most cleverest girl!" Mom had a good week working on her new passion project of maybe being a color consultant. Dad had a birthday this week! He turned 32 on Wednesday. He is excited about writing a horror novel and is thinking of going to trade school so he can reach his career goals. Redwood hasn't been a very healthy place for him to work for a while and I'm hoping these goals will help him mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Monday I had a big cleaning day then I taught violin that night.  Tuesday Dad took work off and we ...
