Paul took this week off work, we enjoyed the much needed family time.  I got up early on Monday and exercised before feeding Katie and getting breakfast going with Paul.  I put Mary in the bath after Katie went down for a nap.  I repeated something Mary said and she exclaimed, "stop copying me!".  That afternoon we received yummy cupcakes from the Chapman's.  I bathed Katie after her nap and we watched Christmas movies.  We played with play doh and I cleaned up to prepare for Christmas Eve and Christmas then we went to bed.  Katie woke up at 3:30 and was gabbing and giggling before falling back to sleep, that might sound creepy but it was cute. Tuesday Paul went to Reno first thing in the morning and got a sore checked out that was on his arm.  The doctor said it was not serious, just a grouping of blood cells that moved up to the surface of the skin.  She removed the sore and Paul has been keeping it clean.  After that he did a C...

Monday was Clare’s last day with us so we went to Fallon for a little bit of fun. We went to Los Gallos for lunch, it went okay for taking kids to a restaurant. Then we went to Fallon Walmart to pick out some fleece and went home and made fleece blankets. They didn’t have a lot of choices so Clare and I both made cabin vibe/camo patterned blankets. I made one for Mary that was pink with white bunnies on it. After that we made Oreo truffles like we used to in high school. You mix a package of crushed Oreos with a block of cream cheese then dip that in melted chocolate, easy and yummy. Mary yelled in frustration: oh biscuits! Clare got on the road the next morning, before the girls woke up. I was kind of relieved to not have to clean or run errands or entertain someone so Mary and I took turns watching movies and I finished the Oreo truffles (Clare thankfully took 2/3 of them with her for her trip home). Mary watched Tinker bell and Spider-Man and I watched the first 3 twilight movies. I...

Monday Grandpa picked Paul up at 5:15 am and drove him to the airport so he could catch his flight to Japan. I had a hard time going back to sleep and was joined by sweet Mary around 7 am. She got in bed with me and quickly fell back to sleep. Katie got up shortly after and I loved cuddling with them while missing Paul. I tried to get the house cleaned up a bit before Nana and Grandpa came over. Grandpa and I went to in-town park to play tennis while Nana and Grandma watched the girls. Grandpa won the tie breaker after we played 12 games, tied 6-6. It was fun to play after not playing in almost 3 years. We came home and all went to Reno together. We went to lunch at Haveli Indian food then Nana got cookies from Twisted Sugar. We went to Scheels where Mary liked looking at the fishes and playing on the playground. Paul texted me from the plane, panicked that we had been hurt in an earthquake. We did not feel the earthquake since we were in Reno. People in Fernley felt it but I saw no e...

Monday Mary didn’t get out of bed until 10:45, she has been so tired I was glad she got the rest she needed. Katie was so happy on Monday, she wasn’t fussy at all in her swing while I cleaned. Mary and Paul got in a little argument that night and after it was resolved she wandered up to him and looked up at him, both assertive and pleading, and said, “are you going to say sorry??” Tuesday I got up at 4:15 to feed Katie then stayed up and exercised. I thought I would lay down again after I showered but that didn’t result in any sleep so I was pretty lethargic for the rest of the day and was starting to get a migraine. Mary got her coat on and played outside for a bit and Hannah FaceTimed (hoping to see Katie but she was napping). Mary showed Hannah and Addie the castle she was painting- she loved to make and draw castles since Elsa makes a big castle in the movie. We made a snow globe craft out of Mary’s handprint to take to the homeschool activity the next day. I was hoping Paul would...

We did the exercise class on Tuesday this week so we could get together before everyone traveled to see their families for Thanksgiving. I brought a little apple pie to share, we had a little “friends-giving” after the class. The kids loved the snacks and I met two new moms who were able to come that day, Gabby and Hannah.  Wednesday we took Katie to her two month check up where she got her first round of vaccines. She was so happy and smiley with the doctor, I think that made her extra surprised and sad when she got her shots. Paul’s coworkers recommended this bakery to us and it was right next to the pediatricians office, so we checked it out after the appointment and it was so yummy! Paul had a long work week, they crashed 7 days of work into 3! He was ready for the holiday to come.  Thursday I did a lot of cooking. I made Brie bites, turkey (obviously), sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, corn bread, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. It all turned out gr...
