Katie was so funny. We were at the church for the weekly exercise class and some kids went into the bathroom, so Katie followed. I checked on Mary then saw Katie sitting on the bench. She looked at me and patted the spot next to her. I sat down by her and she smiled at me and put her hand on my shoulder. It was so funny and cute. Mary had so much fun at the party we went to on Friday. She borrowed a boy's sword toy and played a sword fighting game with Zachary Johnson for at least 30 minutes. He is 11. Mom is getting ready for the Japan trip and enjoying using Vinted to get rid of stuff we don't use and get some fun things for the trip. So far everything that has come has been great! She taught Sunday School and her class participated really well. It was encouraging because the way Janie teaches is a little intimidating but the kids didn't act like anything was wrong with the way we did it without her, so that was comforting. Katie: we're figuring out bedtime with Katie not being in a crib. Nap times have been largely unsuccessful. She can now open the child-locked cupboards and says, "weave me awone!" while digging through mom's makeup. Mary said some funny things this week like, "ugh, I don't like the look of that." Then she was coloring with Dad and said, "Guess who my favorite girl is." Dad said, "I don't know." Mary said, "Lydia!" Dad said, "Who is your favorite boy?" After thinking for a second, Mary said, "you, of course." Mom: I posted a lot on Vinted this week. I've sold 10 items! and I've bought a few things for the Japan trip. Dad still has a pain in his side and we're not sure what it is. It's giving him a lot of discomfort. We spent Sunday evening planning our trip to Japan. We originally were going to go to Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto in our 5 day trip but decided that was too difficult. So we...

Katie would ask "are you done yet?" to us this week. I heard her say to Mary "go to bed!" one of the nights. She named her teddy bear that she got from Uncle Joe. She named it Fluff. She kept saying, "Where is my fluff?" Sunday night she figured out how to climb out of her crib and she didn't hurt herself at all in the process. Mary: Dad asked, "do you have any bug bites?" Mary said, "Of course! Somewhere!" Whenever we would tease her or discipline her she would reply with, "How dare you!" We bought costumes for the girls for Halloween this week, so they are locked in for the year. Honorable mentions for ideas from Mary include but are not limited to: mermaid, pirate, Evil Queen (with poison apple necklace), vampire, ladybug superhero, spider, astronaut.
