Katie turned one on Saturday! She has twelve teeth right now, all eight of her incisors and four molars. She can stand for a few seconds before falling and she can move her feet pretty quickly when she's holding on to something. Mary would finish her applesauce pouch then fill it with air and pretend it was a musical instrument. She called it a choppecher/ troppecher. She is getting better at reading. She asks me throughout the day about letters in the words she sees and says. I didn't garden as much this week because we had a ton of mosquitos. We all got eaten alive at the beginning of the week and avoided being outside the rest of the week. Dad is feeling better about work this week. Things still happen that make him mad but he is seeing more of the good and choosing to be grateful. He works so hard and I'm very proud of everything he's accomplished. Monday the Durocher's came over to play. Tuesday Mary had her tumbling class. Wednesday night I went to mutual. I t...

Monday we had the Durocher's over. Tuesday Mary had her dance class then Debbie Young, Jennette Geurts, and Bailey Earl came over to visit. They brought me flowers and a cute wall hanging to say thanks for serving with them in Relief Society. They were very thoughtful and Mary loved playing with Ivy.  Wednesday we went to the park with Lindsay and Jessica and their kids. Thursday we missed the exercise class because Mary was still feeling sick and needed to stay in bed. We did have to go to the store though because we were completely out of milk and I got Mary some more medicine.  Friday we stayed home again instead of going to the library so Mary could have a relaxed day. I baked some banana bread and made cream cheese frosting for it to take to the tri-ward relief society activity. I dropped it off that night but didn't stay for the activity.  Saturday we went to Lowe's and bought some bushes and flower bulbs. I taught violin in the afternoon then drove straight to Ren...

Katie has a new molar on the top right of her mouth! She is climbing all over the place and is so good at getting around. Mary got sick last weekend. She had a fever and threw up. Dad has been home this week, it has been fun to have him around more. He took Mary to dance on Tuesday. Monday I babysat the Durocher's while Lindsay taught a fitness class. Dad left early that morning to go on a 20+ mile walk to Lake Lahontan. He made it to the end of Farmer's District where it joins the highway to Fallon when his feet started hurting. After Lindsay picked up her kids I loaded Mary and Katie up and we picked him up. Tuesday Dad took Mary to dance for me. That night we got on carvana and bought a new car, a Toyota Corolla Cross. Our Honda Civic has been having issues lately and we were planning on replacing it later this year anyways. Wednesday I took the girls to the park for our regular playdate. Paul stayed home and built Legos to sell them on Facebook Marketplace. We were devastat...

Monday was Labor Day so Paul got to stay home from work. We went for a walk to Green Valley Park and went to Lowe's in the afternoon to get soil and mulch. Tuesday I went to the dentist for a cleaning and finally got my new retainer. Jessica watched Mary and Katie for me then we saw them again at noon when Mary and Addie had dance class together. Paul came home early to find his wallet, it was in the car between the seat and the middle console. He's been stressed about work so he decided to take off next week. Wednesday I seeded the grass then we went to Ponderosa park with friends. Thursday we went to the church for the exercise class and Lindsay taught rev+flow. Friday Paul took the Honda to the dealership because it was giving us a notification about the airbags. He spent all day there and they were no help at all. He had a work dinner that night to say goodbye to his technician, David. Saturday I played tennis with Stuart Tomlinson and Aaron Jacobson. Later I taught my firs...

Katie turned 11 months this week! I can't believe it! She is so mobile- she's fast at crawling and can shuffle along as she holds onto something. She is fearless and wants to try everything, both to do and to eat. She has a second molar on the bottom but it's on the left. She also loves waving to us. Mary said some funny things this week. We were watching K-Pop Demon Hunters and the Saja Boys come onto the screen for the first time when Mary said, "It's their husbands!" When she's playing she often says, "Hi, my name is Mary. What's your name? What's your mom's name? My mom's name is Sarah." She has been asking for a skateboard a lot lately but I guess she only sees boys with them because she asks to be a boy so she can have one. I tell her she can have a skateboard when she's older and she can still be a girl. Mary wrote M-A all by herself in nursery. Her nursery leader helped her write R and Y. She was showing me a picture s...
