Happy Birthday to Lizzy on Monday! It was Labor Day, so Paul got the day off from work. We cleaned the house then went to do some yard work. While we were putting an edger in, the top of the nail broke off and flew up and hit Paul right in the eye. It obviously hurt a lot and we took him to urgent care right away. He was losing vision in his eye, I think from blood pooling in the eye. The doctor said that there were no fractures and he would give him a referral to see an eye doctor to check out the tissue. Paul saw that doctor a different day and the tissue was healing well and his vision came back after a day.
Happy anniversary to Mom and Dad on Tuesday! Wednesday, we went to the park with the Gochenours, and there is a farm right next to the park, and ShaLay saw a goat on the other side of the fence, so the little girls ran over to take a look and pretend to feed it. Happy birthday to Sierra on Thursday. We went to the exercise class on Thursday and for the kid dance Mary actually got on the stage and participated! School has started, so it was only the little kids there, and I think that made it more fun for them.
Friday, Mary and I went outside and worked in the shade to rearrange the rocks on the side of our house. In the afternoon I took her to the park again, and she played with another little girl there, and of course loved being on the swings. She hadn't wanted to nap earlier, so it looked like she was falling asleep on the swings. That night I went out with the sister missionaries. We knocked doors together and dropped by to visit some part member families, but no one was available to talk, hopefully next time we'll get a lesson in.
Mary has also had a hard time sleeping this week. She's cried in her sleep but not woken up all the way, I think she might be having nightmares. I think she's going through a growth spurt too because her naps and bedtimes have been more of a struggle, but she's not quite ready to give up her daytime nap.
Sunday was a busy day. We went to the ward council and church. Matt, Hannah, and Addie facetimed us after church. They are getting excited to welcome their baby Miles in December. Then Paul had to go to work for a couple of hours. Then I cleaned up the house before we had a relief society presidency meeting at the house. Mary was well behaved for the first hour, but then needed more attention, so that helped keep the meeting from going too late haha.
