March 17-23, 2025

Monday the girls were up early. We hung out in bed for an hour-ish before I put Katie down for a nap and pumped. Paul made breakfast and I cleaned up and packed up some snacks for Mary. I got Mary and myself ready before waking Katie up and loading everyone up in the car. We drove to Reno, we went to Scheels where we watched a scuba diver cleaning the salt water tank. Mary has pretended to be a scuba diver in and out of the bath every day so far since then. We went upstairs to play with the legos then went downstairs to play on the playground in the kids section. Katie practiced rolling over and is getting so good at it! She is a strong baby. We got lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings because they had an online discount, it has been a long time since we've eaten there. It was yummy. We went by Walmart on the way home to get some snacks. Paul made blueberry muffins while we watched Peter Pan. I put Katie down for a nap and pumped. Paul took a work call then Katie woke up. We watched Atlantis as a family before I put Katie to bed and pumped. I was able to pump earlier because Christa texted me telling me Lizzy got a stomach bug and was feeling sick so they had to cancel the violin lesson. I brushed Mary's teeth and we got her to sleep. Katie got up two times to eat in the night.
Tuesday I got up early for a dscout mission. I was interviewed at 6:30 am (9:30 am EST) to give feedback on bank notifications and how to make them more user friendly. Paul left at 7 and I think the garage door woke up Mary because she came into the office around then and spent the second half of the interview in the room with me. After the interview I pumped. Katie woke up but had to wait 20 minutes for me to get her (I was still pumping), but she was patient. After the girls had breakfast we cleaned up and started the laundry. I put Katie down for a nap and she slept for 3.5 hours! I was able to exercise, finish cleaning and do some meal prep before she woke up. I fed her then put away laundry. Katie went down for another nap then Mary and I played legos and played outside before I had to pump again. I went back outside with Mary until Paul got home, which was around 4:30 pm, very early for him. He got some chinese food on the way home (even though I made cowboy casserole for him! which has been his favorite dinner lately). Paul Hardman called me and asked if I would play violin for an Easter musical number and I said yes. I practiced a little that night. He hasn't gotten any music for me yet, so we'll see if it happens, and if it happens, we'll see how well I do.. Paul went to bed early because he had a migraine. Katie went down for a little nap so I was taking the opportunity to pump but she woke up halfway through and I was trying to finish pumping before I grabbed her but Paul was very upset about it and came out and yelled at me. He brought her out in her swing and I had to stop pumping early. I cleaned up the living area and kitchen then brushed Mary's teeth, we played in 'grandma's room' and did her bedtime routine. I fed Katie on the couch and finally couldn't put it off any longer and put the swing back in the bedroom. I woke Paul up and he thought he had a fever because he was really sweaty. He apologized for yelling earlier. I got Katie situated then I was finally able to go to bed. Luckily Katie only got up once, even after napping so much today. Maybe she was tired from rolling over so much.
Wednesday Paul was off to work but had to turn around and get his work computer. I was pumping when he came back. Katie got up before Mary but once Mary got up I put them both in the bath. I fed Katie after and put her down for a nap. I took a shower then I exercised in the garage with the door propped open and Mary played outside. I pumped after that while Mary watched a little tv. We colored and played together before Katie woke up. Katie joined us in grandma's room then we cleaned up. She took another nap and Paul was still not home, so I took the girls to the park once Katie woke up. We stayed for an hour and Paul ended up beating us home. We started rewatching Avatar the Last Airbender, it is Mary's first time though! I'm glad she is liking it. I put Katie to bed, then pumped before brushing Mary's teeth and going to bed. Katie was up twice and Mary was up once in the night.
Thursday we got ready and went to the exercise class right away. We got up at 7:30 but I got caught up looking into a California vacation and lost track of time. April Kimball taught Zumba. When we got home I put Katie down for a nap and Mary watched a movie while I pumped for an hour and had a call with Debbie Young, my RS president. I finished planning my hypothetical vacation and I emailed it to Paul. He got home as soon as I was done pumping. He said we couldn't go on vacation now. He's right, we need to wait until Katie is at least a year but I'm ready for a vacation now since Paul has been working so much. We loaded up the girls in the car and drove to Fallon. We got lunch at Sonic then went to Walmart for some "in between" treats. We came home and watched Avatar and I put Katie down for a nap. Mary pooped and I got her cleaned up then I waited and switched out the dvd's before I went to take a little nap myself. Katie woke up soon after I laid down, so I put her swing out in the living room and tried to sleep again. Paul made the blueberry muffins and came in to tell me they were ready. I gave up on the nap then and we hung out as a family. Paul worked on his computer and he did most of Mary's bedtime with me before he had to join a meeting with their Japanese Associates. I finished putting Mary to bed, she was so great. She gave me and Katie a hug and kiss goodnight and didn't come out of her room once. I put Katie to bed then Paul came to bed. Katie got up at 2 am but I just gave her her binky and she was fine.
I got up at 6:30 am on Friday to pump. Paul forgot his headphones and came back for those. Mary got up and we played together in grandma's room until Katie woke up. We played for an hour and fed Katie before her first nap. I gave Mary a bath then we all went to the park and met up with some other families. The Gochenour's had to cancel because ShaLay's sister came for a surprise visit. Mary played with Josie Durocher and Eliana Barajas. I'm glad she was able to play with other kids. I wasn't really in a social mood myself and I don't get along with a couple of the moms that were there but it was worth it to get out of the house and clear my head. I was way too ornery that morning and yelled at Mary about losing my rings and I was way too mean about it. I think I was upset about ShaLay not coming and worried that there would be no park date, but there was and it worked out, even if I didn't really like all the people that came. We came home and had lunch. I put Katie down for a nap and pumped. Mary watched tv while I exercised and cleaned. Paul got home and I grabbed us dinner at Subway. We watched Avatar and Katie took another nap and I took that opportunity to pump. I put both kids to bed and yelled at Paul for not helping. It's the first fight that I was able to go to bed peacefully after fighting with Paul, I think that means I was justified in my yelling. Katie was up once in the night to eat.
Paul and I reconciled in the morning. He went to work and I got Mary to dance. I had a good time chatting with the moms in the parking lot while Mary danced. I gave Mary two dolls we got from April Kimball on Thursday (Anna and Elsa from Frozen). She loves them and takes them everywhere with her. I made her waffles but she never ate them then I put Katie down for a nap and exercised. I showered then Katie got up. I fed her then cleaned. Paul called saying he was headed home but he was stopping at the store first. I took the girls to the library for an hour then met Paul at home. I put Katie down for a nap and pumped. We turned on Tangled for Mary then I grabbed us tacos for dinner. Katie got up and joined us for Avatar. Katie took another little nap and Mary and I went outside to play. Katie got up to eat and I pumped and painted mine and Mary's nails. I brushed Mary's teeth and Paul and I chatted for a bit before Mary let us know it was bedtime. She essentially put herself to bed, which Paul and I both appreciated. She is growing up so quickly! I put Katie to bed, she was a little restless. It took her a minute to get to sleep and she was up a bit in the night, not fully to eat but I had to re-swaddle her a couple of times. I think she slept too much during the day and it messed with her night sleep.
Mary said a lot of funny things on Saturday. Here are a few of the things she said: "We're like hedgehogs!" (I'm not sure where this came from) "I'm giving you a hug! It makes me feel happy." She didn't want to put on a jacket. "I'm warm" [me: okay, but you still need shoes.] "Alright! [foot stomp]" "Good morning Katie! Look at my cute dress!" (her dance clothes). [Later in the day] "Katie! Look at my long hair!" (We used a hair tie to attach her blanket to her hair and she pretended she was Rapunzel).
Sunday I woke up and fed Katie, then pumped. I bathed both girls then got Mary and me ready for church. I conducted in the Relief Society then got Katie entered into the church's system. It should have happened in December but I guess they lost her paper or something. Mary and I grabbed treats from Raley's and pizza from Papa Murphy's on the way home. Paul made the pizza and we snacked on cookie dough. We played outside in the warm weather. I put Katie down for a nap and pumped for an hour while I was on a call with Debbie. I played outside with Mary after that then brought Katie out after she napped for two hours. She slept for three hours this morning and I didn't want her to nap too much during the day. I fed her outside then we came inside and watched Frozen II. Katie took a short nap and I was able to type my paragraph before bedtime.
