Katie got up to eat at 11:30 pm and 4:15 am. Mary got up at 3 am to get some water. Paul got up and put Katie in the bed with me where she fell back to sleep. Paul went to work at 7:20 and Mary got in bed with me for cuddles at 7:40. We got up after a little snuggling and I got breakfast for Mary then watered the grass. I cleaned my closet and room then put Katie down for a nap. I typed up my paragraph and ward council notes to send to Deb. Mary watched Bluey then Katie got up after a short nap because she pooped. I cleaned the living room and kitchen, then Mary's room, the play room, and the office. Katie went down for her second nap and I exercised. Mary was in the garage with me on her scooter. Katie woke up and we made dinner and I made my lunches for the week. I cleaned the kitchen again and Mary picked up her toys in the living room. I watered the grass again, the girls played in the dirt. Paul got home and I taught Lizzy Seamon's violin. We danced together as a family then I got Katie in her jammies then Paul put her to bed and I put Mary to bed. Katie ate again at midnight then got up at 3 am with a poopy diaper.
Tuesday Mary came in for cuddles at 7 am. Paul went to work and Mary came outside with me to water the grass. We had breakfast together then went back outside to finish watering the plants. I took the girls on a walk then we went to the park. We came home and had some lunch and Katie went down for a nap. I watched tv with Mary then exercised. Katie woke up and we all finished the Tinkerbell movie together. We drove over to Caitlin's house and picked up our order of duck eggs then came home and made dinner (chicken rolls). Katie took another nap and I cleaned and did laundry. I practiced the violin then went outside with Mary to play with bubbles and water the grass. Katie woke up and we played outside together until Paul got home. He had a hard day at work. I taught Peter violin then watched Bluey with Mary and Katie while Paul practiced guitar. I brushed Mary's teeth and put Katie to bed while Paul put Mary to bed. I took a shower then went to bed. Katie was up at 1 am to eat.
Wednesday Mary came in to cuddle at 6 then we went outside and I watered the grass then Mary played by me while I exercised. We got everything ready then woke Katie up. I bathed the girls then loaded them up in the stroller and went for an hour walk. We ended at the park for a playdate and met up with Bailey, Lindsay, and Jessica. We got home around 1 and I put Katie down for a nap and Mary and I watched Spidey while we had lunch. I put Tinkerbell on for Mary while I cooked dinner (ramen) then got the stroller ready for tomorrow. I cleaned up the living area then Katie woke up. We all went outside to play and I watered. Paul got home and we watched Tinkerbell together and played some games together (duck, duck, goose). Paul makes time to play with Mary each night and I can tell it makes such a difference for her. She feels so much more connection with him and she is happier and more engaged since he started committing time for them to play together. Paul put Katie to bed and I put Mary to bed. Katie got up twice in the night to eat.
Thursday Paul went to work and Mary came to cuddle with me at 7:30. I got up to water then Katie was up. I got the girls ready, then myself, we had breakfast then walked to Green Valley Park for the exercise class. They are still redoing the floors at the church and I didn't have a dscout interview after the class like I did last week, so it was nice to have time to walk to the park instead of drive. It is just in the next neighborhood over and it took me exactly 30 minutes to walk there and another 30 minutes to walk back. Mary had so much fun because she constantly asks to play with Lydia and EverLee and she got to see them there and she shared her toys with them. Katie loved playing with KinsLey, Jack is usually all over her but he wasn't there this time. When we got home I attempted to put Katie to bed but it didn't really take. We watched tv together then went on another little walk to get the mail. I finally got my french hair pins. I ordered some in January that never came then I ordered some more a couple of weeks ago and they are here now. I'm still practicing how to use them, it is proving more tricky than I thought it would be but I'm committed to getting better at using them. I tried to put Katie down for a nap again but she still wasn't ready. We played outside until she was ready then I put her down. I cleaned then made dinner. Katie got up and we watched Beauty and the Beast. I watered the grass then Paul got home and played with Mary. She came over to me and said, "isn't life great?" Paul turned on Zootopia while I taught Peter the violin. I watched with them while Paul practiced guitar. I brushed Mary's teeth then Paul put her to bed. I played with Katie, I feel like I am so busy during the day cleaning, cooking, doing whatever that I don't get to play with Katie as much as I'd like, so I was having fun playing peek-a-boo with her, giving her kisses, and helping her pretend to fly. Eventually I put her to bed. She was up at 1 but went back to sleep with the binky then got up at 3:30 to eat.
Friday Mary came in to cuddle with me, my favorite way to be woken up. We cuddled then went outside to water. We had breakfast and we still had a lot of time until it was time to go to the library so I decided to mow the lawn. It was so overgrown and I filled up 2.5 5-gallon buckets with grass. Paul told me to wait 6 weeks since seeding but I think it has only been 4. Oh well, it looks so much better now. The battery seemed to have died in the lawn mower, so I put it on the charger and got us ready to go. We went to the library for an hour then picked up some cupcakes on the way home that we had ordered earlier this week. A local baker was making a sampler of her most popular cupcake flavors and the Chapman's always send us her cupcakes, they are so yummy. I convinced Paul to let me get them and we'll have them on Monday for Memorial Day. Mary had half of her cupcake when we got home-the rainbow funfetti one. I made pizza for Mary for her lunch then finished my last veggie burrito bowl lunch. Katie went down for a nap and I cleaned then finished mowing. It turns out the battery didn't die, the grass was wet while I was mowing and was stuck to the bottom. I cleaned that off and was able to finish. I edged then got up some weeds that were hiding under the long grass, which was so satisfying to get those big roots up. The girls didn't want to hang out outside in the middle of the day so I put Bluey on for them while I finished in the yard. I cleaned up the toys, organized the shed, put the grass in our big green trash can then watched tv with the girls. Paul came home early, at 3:30. He stayed home with Katie while Mary and I got us dinner from All Points Grill. They have a permanent location now, they are moving out of the little shack that was over by the church. I went there with Mary I think while Paul was in Japan and I was still pregnant. I don't remember liking it that much but this time around it was really good. Paul liked it a lot too. Mary ate all her french fries but didn't eat any of her grilled cheese. She didn't even try to open up the bread and just eat the cheese. I don't blame her though, American cheese is gross, if we get her that again I'll ask them to switch it out for cheddar. The girls watched Ms. Rachel after dinner then we all went on a walk and went to the park. We got home and Paul put Katie to bed while I took Mary outside, she played in the dirt and I watered. I put her to bed after that. I stayed up until 11, which I regret. Katie got up at midnight to eat.
Saturday Mary got in the bed at 6:50. I eventually got the strength to get out of bed and get us ready. I took Mary to dance then we came home and made a fun breakfast. I grabbed some stuff from around the house that I was okay to get rid of then went to the church for the Spring Cleaning activity. Kim Wooldridge was the only member from the activities committee that could come. It wasn't good timing because it is Memorial Day weekend and everyone was busy. Alene Whisler came and it was just us until noon. Kim and I put the tables back and we all went home. I took a couple of things from Kim (she brought letter and number games that she used for her kids that are perfect for Mary) and I took some storage bins from Alene. I got home and had lunch with Paul then Paul went to Walmart and did our grocery shopping while also getting his walk in. I was tired so I just hung out with the girls on the couch and we played low key games. Paul got home and we put groceries away then played outside. I told Mary that her bunny was the same color as my socks and she said, "oh, yes. Of course." Paul and Mary watched tv while Katie and I took a nap. Paul dragged me out of bed and we went on a family walk to the park. When we got home I bathed the girls while Paul practiced guitar. Paul put Mary to bed and I put Katie to bed. We watched the first episode of 9 Perfect Strangers then went to bed. Katie was up at 1 but went back to sleep with a binky and got up to eat at 3:30. Mary is funny because she says "dive" when she means to say "die". So when someone dies in a Disney movie, she says, "they dived, so sad."
Sunday Katie woke me up at 6:30. We played together then I got her a bottle and I started to clean. I watered the grass and put dinner in the crockpot. I got Mary ready and got her church bag ready then got myself ready and went to the ward council. I came back and grabbed Mary. Paul was overstimulated because he was tired from his morning walk (he walked 6 miles!), he was trying to do his meal prep, and Katie was tired and needed a bottle and cuddles, so he was yelling that he didn't want anymore kids. Mary didn't have very much fun at church because only Giovani and Vincenzo were in nursery with her. Giovani scares her or makes her nervous and Vincenzo is still really little. We got home and had dinner together (roast, mashed potatoes, rolls, watermelon) then I put Katie down for a nap. We watched tv and Katie was up again. We played together as a family and Paul called Granny K and Wendy. Mary was excited to show them her cape and her dance moves. I watched The Little Mermaid 2 with Mary while Paul and Katie had a nap. We kind of watched the movie and kind of watched cupcake decorating videos on my phone. At around 7 we went for a walk then came back to water. Paul put Katie to bed and I put Mary to bed. I wanted the kitchen to be clean for tomorrow so I was doing the dishes and Mary came out of her bed. She hung out with Paul while I finished cleaning then Paul put her back to bed. Paul got good lab results and Ivor (his boss) was very complimentary of him this week.
