Katie likes to click her tongue and she started smacking her lips too, she's so snuggly and sweet. I think she might be going through a sleep regression though, she's getting so close to walking. She has been crawling on the grass this week, so she's either over her aversion to grass or wearing long pants help it not be so itchy.
Mary and I were playing and I found something she had hidden. She said, "you found it! My most cleverest girl!"
Mom had a good week working on her new passion project of maybe being a color consultant.
Dad had a birthday this week! He turned 32 on Wednesday. He is excited about writing a horror novel and is thinking of going to trade school so he can reach his career goals. Redwood hasn't been a very healthy place for him to work for a while and I'm hoping these goals will help him mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
Monday I had a big cleaning day then I taught violin that night.

Tuesday Dad took work off and we went to Virginia City. We got there at 9 am and played at the park, took a picture at the overlook down the road then took a scenic train ride where we got a pumpkin! It was super fun. Then we went to Carson City and Dad got these madeleine cakes that he was excited about from Costco. We got lunch at Chipotle. We went home after that and watched movies.
Wednesday was Dad's birthday! 32 :) He went to work and his coworkers took him out for dinner. The girls and I went to the park in the morning with our friends and we stayed until 2 pm! ShaLay and I were talking about business ideas and she suggested I do color consultations since I love talking about color seasons in terms of people's appearances. I've been working on that idea since then, putting together my ideas and a little guidebook for myself. We'll see where it goes!
Thursday morning the girls were up early so we went to the store and got some stuff for the exercise class and little Halloween party after. We got donuts and I told Lindsay I would bring a craft so I got some felt ghosts and crayons. Not super great but that's what I could find at the dollar store. The kids kind of did the activity before the class started but ShaLay had to leave early to pick up her in-laws from the airport and Lindsay had to get Josie from preschool. Penelope left around that time but Jessica was hanging out for a minute because her husband was going to pick them up and go to Sparks in the afternoon so I just stayed and talked to her until he came. It was good for Mary, Katie, and Addie to have more time to play. That afternoon, Mary and I carved the pumpkin we got on Tuesday. That night I made dinner for Naomi Storey. She had a miscarriage at 19 weeks.
Friday was Halloween! I cleaned up the house then we went to the store in the afternoon so I could make brie bites for the party that night. I got me and Mary dressed up then we met up with Jessica and Addie to go trick or treating for a little bit before we went to the Galloways for the Spooky Soiree. Mary had a great time trick or treating! We just stayed in our neighborhood. Then we dropped her candy off at home and picked up our appetizer then went to the party. I hung out with Jessica for the beginning then Bailey Earl and Rachel Barajas then ShaLay when she came. Mary and Addie played together most of the party but she also played with the Earl kids. She accidentally touched one of the heat lamps and got a little burn blister. I had a lot of fun and didn't feel too weird being without a date.
Saturday I met up with a couple to sell them some Legos off Facebook Marketplace then I taught violin. My students are making great progress with their Christmas song. We took the girls to the park in the afternoon. We sold Paul's Martin guitar that night. He feels good about it.
Sunday I cleaned the house while Dad went for his Sunday walk. Then I bathed the girls, put dinner in the crockpot, then got myself ready for church. Right before we left Dad and I got into a discussion of what we're going to do for Christmas and the stress of his job, so we didn't make it to church. It was good to iron out some expectations and goals though, we've been avoiding it and it was a hard talk but now we don't have all that negative tension.
