Katie says more, up, and please pretty clearly.
Funny things Mary said this week: "These are my swimming things, for real." "I want to be Merida. I want to show dad how cool I am." Mom: Come eat your breakfast. Mary: Just a minute! Marlow! The sugar girl!; Mom: I’m in the kitchen. Mary: Why didn’t you say so?
Mom was busy getting us ready for our trip to Utah this week: baking cookies, cleaning, and packing.
Dad: Off to Japan this week for a work trip.
Monday we watched Josie and Jack. I deep cleaned the house to get ready for our trip then I taught violin in the evening. Tuesday Mary had dance class. Wednesday we went to Green Valley park with the Gochenour's. Thursday we drove to Utah and had Thanksgiving dinner at Nana and Grandpa's house. James, Emma, Eliza, Ryan, Amelia, Gabe, and Amelia's friend were all there as well. We went bowling that evening.
Friday Nana gave us all haircuts then Mary made a bracelet with Aunt Eliza. We met up with Brooke, Joe, and Andy at Hires for lunch. After that Joe and Andy came with us to visit Elaine. Paul was nervous about Elaine having a surprise visitor while we were there (picture included). That night we had Red Iguana with the Roberts family and we met Emily's boyfriend, Carson. We drove back to Nana and Grandpa's house to sleep.
Saturday Grandpa took Dad to the airport. Dad was headed to Japan for a work trip. I got us ready and we drove up to Grandma Wendy's house. We hung out for a minute then went to Hogle Zoo with Grandma and Aunty Rachel. We saw the new part of the zoo and rode the train. Mary loved the Giraffe's. Katie slept for the first half. We went back to Grandma's house then I met Nana, Eliza, Amelia, Mykael, James, and Emma at Century 16 to see Wicked: For Good. Everyone said it wasn't as good as the first half but I liked it fine. I thought it was consistent with the first half. Maybe they just like those songs better. We went to Cubby's for dinner and ate it at Nana and Grandpa's house. After dinner we played code games. I drove back to Grandma's house to sleep.
Sunday Mary woke up to fresh snow falling. It was so magical. We got ready and went to Grace Christensen's homecoming. It was snowy and no one was helping me with the kids then Grandpa came over and carried sleeping Katie inside for me. He also carried her back to the car after the meeting. I was grateful for his notice and help. We went to Gregg and Marian's house for a little luncheon after. I drove Amelia and Gabe back to Nana's house then took the girls to McDonald's for lunch. Mary didn't eat anything at the luncheon and she ate almost all the fries and chicken nuggets. We went back to Grandma's house. Andy, Emily, and Rachel played with Mary and Katie and I zonked out. I was grateful to get that nap in.
