Katie's strawberry hemangioma that was on her eyebrow bled again this week but is actually all healed now, I don't see a bump at all anymore. Her speech is getting so good too. She can ask questions with real words and can copy us really well. She copied Dad when he prompted her to say asphalt.
Mary is so creative. She loves animals and asks me everyday if she can be a certain animal or character for Halloween. She wanted to be Ghost Spider (again) and have Katie be Electro, she also wanted to be Merida (and Katie would be Tiana, Dad would be Black Panther, Mom would be Rapunzel, and Nana would be Ariel - the girls would match the princess card for her Yoto). She also wanted to be Sisu the dragon and a flamingo. She is a good cleaner and helper to her mom, a good jumper and climber, a good friend, and a good sister. I am so proud of her for always being gentle with Katie, even though Katie is going through a little bit of a hitting phase right now, and she is so patient with her as well. They play so well together and are the cutest friends.
Mom unfortunately had a rough week this week. I exercised probably one day and even that was rough. I had my period this week and my cramps were so bad that I felt physically ill. My stomach cramped terribly so that I didn't have any appetite and just laid on the couch for most of Tuesday. I hardly ate throughout the week and lost 3 pounds. I had lots of headaches and didn't get too much done around the house except the normal daily clean. I didn't really cook this week either. I did work on color analysis though. The girls were so good to play together and let me rest.
Dad got a retention raise for staying with the company after the big layoff last week.

Monday we had Josie and Jack over in the morning. That night I taught violin. Tuesday Mary had dance class. I wanted to wait in the car because it was cold, windy, and rainy but Katie insisted on playing at the park. She kept saying "outside! outside!" Then we did and she was happy as a clam. Mary and Katie love to play outside, no matter the weather. Fernley is pretty windy, so they are not perturbed by a little bad weather.
Wednesday we were on our way to pick up groceries and I noticed the car swaying quite a bit when we stopped at the roundabout. I thought that was weird because it wasn't very windy (it swayed similarly to how it would on a really windy day). Then Dad called and asked if we were okay and if we felt the earthquake. I told him yes but I didn't realize what it was until he had called. I looked it up and it was a 3.7 magnitude aftershock.
Thursday we went to the exercise class. The Gochenour's are back from vacation, it was good to talk to ShaLay and Mary loved playing with KinsLey and EverLee. Katie did a great job climbing up the stairs but when she tried to do it again she slipped and hit her cheek on the step.
Friday was the youth fundraiser for the year. They served a spaghetti dinner and we had a live auction as well as a silent auction. It was really successful and we were able to raise money past our goal for both the young women and young men summer camp.
Sunday I took the girls to church. Christa Seamons and Rylie Johnson complimented both Mary and Katie for being well behaved and sweet kids. They really are so wonderful, I am a very blessed mom to have them as my babies.
