Katie is developing more independence. We went on a family hike and she didn't want to hold our hands if she didn't have to. She wants to do it on her own. She also is very interested in using the toilet. She wants to poop in it but she ends up sitting there for ten minutes and playing with toilet paper.
Mary said some funny things this week like when she was pretending to be my pillow and I pretended to eat her she said, "Mom! You gross me out!" I coughed a little one morning and she said, "Mom, do you have a frog in your throat?" Mary tries very hard to do what I ask and be a good helper to me. She is so loving and service minded.
Mom: I had a really rough week this week. I got up Monday to do my workout and I had a hard time breathing again - the same as before I went to the ER in May. I was also very light headed. I ended up going to the ER again and getting all the same stuff done - EKG, chest x-ray, CT scan. They could see my lung is healing and has two nodules on it which I took to be scabs of a sort. They could also see the base of my lungs were not expanding which sort of explained my shortness of breath. They didn't give me antibiotics or an inhaler because I guess there isn't an active infection nor did I have any wheezing or restricted airways. I should have rested more at the beginning of the week but Mary was so excited to go to the beach with Lydia, I didn't want to cancel that. Then I wanted Katie to see her friends on Wednesday and not exclude Lindsay since she couldn't make it to the beach the day before. Thursday and Friday I was down and out and I got some good naps in on Friday and Saturday. I'm feeling much better today (Sunday). I hope I keep trending better. I still feel a little restricted in my breathing but my energy is better.
Dad had a rough week too. He's very stressed about money. He's investing 1/3 of his income and we had all our medical bills come in from last month's ER visit for both of us and Katie's extra charge from her doctor - which I'm so frustrated about. They charged us an extra $200 for him to barely look at the blemish on her eyebrow and prescribe a $200 0.1 fl. oz. medication that I suggested - not him (which I did not redeem) and it ended up resolving itself a month later. Ugh. I hate that PA so much. But yeah, it's just bills bills bills and trying to get ahead financially and trying to save for the future and work has been a huge pain for him, it's all a mess. I am very proud of him with how good he is doing with his health goals though. He exercised every day and did great with his meal plan.

Monday I was at the ER until about 2pm and pretty much rested the rest of the day. Dad worked from home, took care of the girls, and cleaned up for me. Tuesday ShaLay and I took our girls to Lake Tahoe. We were going to meet Penelope Galloway there but we were a little too late and they closed the gate before we could get in. We spent the next two hours looking for a beach but everywhere was full. We ended up getting a spot at Nevada beach at 12:45. The girls got 4 hours in at the beach before we packed up and headed home. Mary had been looking forward to going to the beach with Lydia for months and had so much fun with her friend. Katie was pretty tired but had fun doing low key play with EverLee. Wednesday we went to Ponderosa park with Lindsay Durocher and her kids. They had fun playing baseball, digging in the dirt, and drawing with chalk.
We laid low for Thursday and Friday. Dad worked from home on Friday. Saturday we went to Dayton State Park as a family. Sunday was Father's Day. We went to church and had some cake after dinner. Mary wore her green dress that she got for Emily's wedding and Katie wore her yellow dress with the bunny. She used the bow to play peek-a-boo with the bunny.
