Katie was so funny. We were at the church for the weekly exercise class and some kids went into the bathroom, so Katie followed. I checked on Mary then saw Katie sitting on the bench. She looked at me and patted the spot next to her. I sat down by her and she smiled at me and put her hand on my shoulder. It was so funny and cute.
Mary had so much fun at the party we went to on Friday. She borrowed a boy's sword toy and played a sword fighting game with Zachary Johnson for at least 30 minutes. He is 11.
Mom is getting ready for the Japan trip and enjoying using Vinted to get rid of stuff we don't use and get some fun things for the trip. So far everything that has come has been great! She taught Sunday School and her class participated really well. It was encouraging because the way Janie teaches is a little intimidating but the kids didn't act like anything was wrong with the way we did it without her, so that was comforting. I also went on a run the last two Saturdays. I think I'm pregnant, so hopefully I can keep up the running for a while before I have to stop. Sarah Johnson also agreed to be the accompanist for my violin students at the December recital.
Dad: has loved using the fire pit this week. He made vanilla protein ice cream and we got an air fryer to use for the French fries next week. He is getting excited about work again because he loves chatting with Claude and working on atom 3D models and making slides with detailed graphics. He also likes how he can "read" tons of papers in no time by having Claude go through them and talking to it about them.

Tuesday we went to the park with Lindsay and ShaLay. Virginia was there at the beginning for a little bit. Wednesday the girls had dance. Katie still likes me to stay. Thursday we went to the exercise class and I taught violin that night. Friday we went to a neighborhood Halloween party at the Galloways. Mary had a blast sword fighting with an 11 year old boy in our ward. Dad went to a boys night in Carson City with some coworkers. They got dinner and went to a comedy club. Saturday I taught music then came home and made chicken pot pie from scratch. I loved it but no one else did. Sunday I had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and I shared with Katie. Dad made waffles for himself and the girls and let me keep the cinnamon rolls to myself. Dad came to church with us, I taught Sunday school, then had a teacher training. Our neighbor gave us a bag of Halloween costumes her granddaughters have grown out of. Mary and Katie had a blast playing in them for the rest of the day.
