Katie: we're figuring out bedtime with Katie not being in a crib. Nap times have been largely unsuccessful. She can now open the child-locked cupboards and says, "weave me awone!" while digging through mom's makeup.
Mary said some funny things this week like, "ugh, I don't like the look of that." Then she was coloring with Dad and said, "Guess who my favorite girl is." Dad said, "I don't know." Mary said, "Lydia!" Dad said, "Who is your favorite boy?" After thinking for a second, Mary said, "you, of course."
Mom: I posted a lot on Vinted this week. I've sold 10 items! and I've bought a few things for the Japan trip.
Dad still has a pain in his side and we're not sure what it is. It's giving him a lot of discomfort. We spent Sunday evening planning our trip to Japan. We originally were going to go to Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto in our 5 day trip but decided that was too difficult. So we're staying in Tokyo and doing some day tours, Tokyo Disney, shopping, and checking out this immersive museum.
Monday I only got 4 hours of sleep. I got out of bed and did my workout in a rage and cleaned the kitchen. I went back to bed with the girls. That meant just cuddling before they got too restless. Then I cleaned and did laundry. I got a nap once Dad got home from work then we put the girls to bed.
Tuesday we took 5 packages to the post office of Vinted orders. Then we met up with our friends at the park. Lindsay, ShaLay, Arielle, Penelope, and Karri all came. ShaLay and I stayed the longest and we talked about interior design.
Wednesday the girls had dance and we picked up our groceries. Thursday we went to the exercise class at the church. ShaLay and I stayed the longest again. I felt so overwhelmed and just vented to her about everything. She was very patient and was a great friend to offer support and a listening ear. I taught violin that evening.
Friday we went to the library. Mary was very interactive in listening to the stories and both her and Katie danced to the Halloween music, then they made bats out of clothes pins. We made Hawaiian pork skewers and peach cobbler over the fire. Saturday I taught music. It was my first Saturday where everyone showed up for their lesson, so I didn't have any breaks. Dad made delicious waffles for breakfast and the perfect steak with French fries and asparagus for dinner. Sunday we had church, the parking lot is still under construction.
