Katie watched me blow up a balloon for Mary then proceeded to grab one from the bag and try to blow it up herself. She applied that same idea to my arm while I was getting her in her pajamas after her bath. She laughed and it has been a fun game for us this weekend. Katie officially outgrew the pack and play and has officially moved into her crib in her and Mary's room.
Mary is adjusting to having Katie in the same room as her at nighttime and is doing really well with the adjustment. While Josie and Jack were at our house, Mary said, "Jack is my husband!" Then she tried to kiss him. He just giggled and said, "She's trying to kiss me." He's two.
Mom: The girls sharing a room this week has actually gone well. I don't think I've gotten up more with them than I normally would if Katie slept in our room. I finished putting together my guide for the 12 color palette seasons. This next week I'll work on body types and face shapes. I'm really excited to see where this passion project goes!
Dad got together with Kieran, his work friend, on Saturday and they drove to Sacramento together to see Shane Gillis live. They drove home that night and Dad got home around 1 am. He had a great time and loved the show.
Monday we babysat Jack and Josie Durocher since their grandma was out of town. We had a lot of fun with them. Due to daylight savings, nobody slept well and I, in turn, totally forgot about my Monday night violin lesson. I ended up getting there 20 minutes late and taught until 10 to 8. Dad was awesome and got the girls to bed without me.
Tuesday Mary had her dance class. The teacher let me and Jessica know that Mary and Addie get distracted with tickling each other, so we talked about it and the girls know not to tickle each other during class.
Wednesday was super windy so we had our play date at Lindsay's house.
Thursday April taught Zumba at the church. April came over after and borrowed my two Anne of Green Gables DVDs since Anna is home sick and the boys are doing their own thing, she wanted to watch some more girly movies with her.
Friday Dad worked from home so they can stagger people on Tuesday since it's veterans day and they still need to have people working. I took the girls to get their flu shot but the doctor's office wasn't able to help us out since we aren't established yet (we haven't met with a doctor yet since we're switching to a Fernley clinic so we don't have to drive to Reno all the time). I filled out a bunch of paperwork then we left without them getting their shots. I was going to take them to the library for reading time but we missed it and Katie was ready for a nap so I picked up our groceries then we went home. Katie napped, we had lunch, and played library with Mary. We went to the park that evening.
Saturday I made Belgian waffles for breakfast then deep cleaned the house. Dad picked up Panda Express for lunch (it opened its Fernley location this week!) Then I taught violin in the afternoon. I got home and Dad went to Sacramento with his work friends to see Shane Gillis, a comedian. While he was gone, I did my meal prep, cleaned the house, bathed the girls, put them to bed, showered, and started the laundry. I also did the dishes like 3 times.
Sunday Dad slept in and the girls finished the leftover waffles. Mary woke up a little sniffly. She still felt well enough to go to church with me, so we went and both had a good day in our classes. I'm having a good time being in Young Women.
