Mary woke up sick Tuesday morning and threw up 4 times before taking a nap at 9:30 am. I met with the RS president through zoom while Mary slept, and she gave me the down low on being the RS secretary. Just after our meeting ended, Mary woke up and she was jumping and felt so much better. I was still careful about feeding her, but she didn't throw up again. That night after I put Mary to bed, we got out our telescope and Paul found Saturn again and was able to get great pictures of both Saturn and the almost full moon.
Wednesday, we went to the park with the Gochenours and Mary was so excited to see them. They played so well together. Lydia (3yo) tried to help Mary put her shoes on and all three girls were holding hands and walking around together, it was so sweet. That night I went to the baptism of the sister missionaries’ investigator. It was a great service and a lot of people from the ward attended. I picked up some shovels on the way home to prepare for the rock coming this weekend.
Thursday, we got the rock delivered before 8 am. I had another RS meeting with the first counselor that morning for about an hour. Paul got home a little early and we started moving the gravel right away. We got a perimeter done around the base of the house and around where we're going to plant grass. Friday, we continued to move gravel and some of the stone first thing in the morning. We got a water softener installed at the same time. We got tired out and it started raining around noon so then we prepared the house for Sam, Emily, and Andy to come that night to help us the next day.
Saturday, we started early and got a lot of gravel moved before the missionaries came at 9 am. The sister missionaries came at 10 am and most of the rock was moved by noon. The missionaries left after we fed them lunch then I put Mary down for a nap and we continued moving the rock until both piles were gone. I think we finished before 3 pm. Then we all showered and some of us fell asleep. Mary and I cleaned up the patio and kitchen while they slept. Then we just relaxed the rest of the day.
Sunday, we went shopping with Sam, Emily, and Andy to thank them for their help, then we fed them lunch and they drove back to Utah and got home safely. We watched some Alfred Hitchcock Halloween movies that afternoon and enjoyed the cool fall day.
