This week we focused on our yard a lot. We went to a local rock quarry on Monday and picked out some stone, then went home and bought three Sugar Maples and six bushes. Wednesday, we got mulch. Thursday on, we dug holes where we're going to plant the trees and bushes then prepared the dirt and put down garden fabric.
Other than the yard, Mary and I met up with the Gochenours at the pool Tuesday. Mary had me help her with the little water slide a few times but, in the end, she figured out how to go up the steps all by herself! Wednesday, I made Mom's nacho chicken and Phyllis' oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for a family in the ward who just had a baby. We met with the bishop this week and I got called to be the Relief Society secretary, I've never done a calling like this so it will be fun to learn.
Thursday, we went to the weekly play group and Mary joined in with the Zumba dances. We also got a little telescope this week and Paul found Saturn; it was so cool to see the rings. Friday I was cleaning, and Mary just went into her room and tucked herself into her bed, it was so cute. Later, we had the Gochenours over for a playdate. We had lunch and then the girls all played together with only a little conflict haha. Mary was so excited to have them come over. Happy anniversary to Amelia and Gabe on Saturday! Ben gave a great talk on Sunday; it was good to hear about his experiences teaching the gospel in France.
