This week we were kind of sick so we didn't do too much. We did have a playdate with the Gochenours on Wednesday and that was really fun to get out of the house. Paul interviewed for a management position in his lab and he got it!
Happy birthday to Dad on Saturday! Saturday, we taught Paula Del Peloso with the sisters for her last missionary lesson before her baptism. We had a nice spiritual discussion. That night we had our ward Christmas party that was simple but nice. A lot of people were out of town but the chocolate chip cookies I brought all got eaten. They had a simple program of singing a couple of songs then watching the Christmas video the church put out. Mary had fun playing with Paula's daughter, Penny. After the party we drove around and looked at Christmas lights in our neighborhood. One of our neighbors has programmed their lights to music, so you can turn your radio on to a specific station and watch a light show to go with the music, it is pretty cool.
Sunday was busy again. I prepped dinner and cleaned then got Mary and myself ready for church while Paul went to ward council. We had church where Paul go to be in the circle to bless Paula and Dmitri Del Peloso's baby boy. After church Paul got invited to be apart of the Melchizedek priesthood ordination for a returning brother in the ward. Paula had her baptism and confirmation that evening and I had to opportunity to play the piano for that. It was a very spiritual baptism. It was fun for Mary to see a baptism as well. After that we had Winnie Blesh over for dinner, who is a recent convert. It was nice to get to know her better. She is very warm and Mary was comfortable around her and even gave her a hug before she left.
I wasn't very good at writing down what Mary said this week but she did love telling me when it was her turn to do something. She would say "my toin! my toin!". She also loved to tell me when something was funny. She would giggle and hold her hands in front of her mouth and say "fun-nee! fun-nee!"
