Last week Paul had a work meeting and the Department of Energy announced they would be giving Redwood Materials a huge loan to push production forward. Paul got to meet the Secretary of Energy and JB Straubel (Redwood's CEO). We are so excited about all the opportunities this will bring to Paul and the company!

Monday was my birthday. Paul woke up feeling sick, but he didn't want to take the day off since it was only his second week there. He showed up to work and everyone was home sick except for two people, who were still sick, but they needed to meet deadlines. I did mostly chores while Paul was working. While I was cleaning, Mary was watching Ms. Rachel on YouTube and she said "go" and "moo"! This was so exciting, and I have gotten her to say "go" again lots of times, but it's been harder for her to say "moo" again. She can also say "dad" pretty consistently and I can sometimes get her to say "mama". Halfway through the day flowers and balloons were delivered to our door from Wendy. It was so nice and such a surprise! Mary was scared of the balloon. After Mary's nap, we went grocery shopping. Paul brought home Olive Garden and red roses.

Tuesday was Valentine's Day. Paul woke up feeling just as sick as the day before and he messaged his boss to tell him that he would be working from home. Mary was also feeling sick and had been up for 3 hours the night before. We all slept in and had a more relaxed day. Paul got tested for Covid, but the results were negative. He tested positive for flu, so we got him some medicine for that. Mary would wake up at 1 am and come sleep in our bed for a couple of hours before I put her back in her bed. She was able to sleep in her bed again for the whole night Thursday night. Happy birthday to Brianna on Thursday!

Saturday, we slept in because Mary had a rocky night. We drove to Lake Tahoe and found a park there that was right on the beach of the lake where Mary enjoyed playing. Sunday, we went for a walk by the Reno Temple. It was ward conference today and we were taught by our stake leaders. We had a linger longer after where people brought snacks and I made some banana bread for it. It was a big hit and was totally gone by the time we left. We watched the All-Star game when we got home.
