This week I took Mary to reading time at the Sparks library and I took her to the toddler one even though she's a little younger than they suggest. It was a lot more successful than taking her to baby time. She was shy but loved interacting with the activities. I got another mom's number while we were there, and she told me about the children's museum in Reno and how they do a special day for kids 5 and under on Wednesdays.
So, the next day I took Mary to the museum and we got a membership and checked it out. Mary was shy and nervous for the first little while but then she started to interact with the activities and other children. I didn't see the mom I met at the library there, but I chatted with a few women who had kids around Mary's age. Paul came home early that day because of the snow. I was glad he didn't get caught in the bad weather.
Thursday through Sunday were low-key because I got a bad cold. I had a lot of congestion and a chest cough but I'm feeling better now. Paul was able to come home early on Friday, again due to the snow, and that made for an early weekend. I was especially happy because I was feeling pretty tired and loved having him home to help with Mary. He worked for a couple of hours on Saturday and Mary and I talked on FaceTime with Mom and Dad. Mary showed off her waving skills and blew them lots of kisses. She has a new molar on her top right and has had some teething pain this week as well as a cough. She now has 9 teeth! She has been drinking a lot of milk and is growing so tall.
