Monday was Paul's first day at Redwood. He drove down to their headquarters in Carson City for the morning of training. He had lunch with the VP of Manufacturing then they both went up to the location where Paul will be working, just east of Reno, and he met the team of scientists he will be working with.
Tuesday was Paul's second day at work, and he spent the whole day in Carson City for safety training. He then met with his boss again before getting to come home early. While Paul was at work, I took Mary to the park, she has been getting more mobile and loves climbing on stuff, so she had fun at the playground, but she still does not like swings. When Paul got home, we went out and got him some work stuff then we decided to avoid the Valentine's Day crowds and celebrate my birthday early by getting dinner from an Indian restaurant then going home and having some cake and watching a movie.
Wednesday I just took Mary to the playground at our apartment complex, which was pretty small, and I thought that would be great for Mary. When we got there a little girl who looked to be between 2 and 3 was already there with her grandfather and she ran over to Mary as soon as she saw her. She was so excited to have "baby" there to play with. She was very sweet and showed Mary all the fun things about the playground and wanted to always go down the slide with Mary at the same time. She was sad when we had to leave. Maybe we will see her there again sometime.
Thursday, we went to the library for baby reading time. The website said it was for babies between 0 and 18 months but all the other babies were 4 months old, so Mary wasn't able to interact with them very well. I'm going to try again next week and just take her to the toddler one for 18 mo. to 3 years.
Friday Paul got home early, we got some pizza, and I introduced him to the Great British Baking Show. Saturday, we finished their newest season and Paul got into it, so it was way fun to watch with him and talk about who we thought would win. Mary has been a little constipated this week and that kept her up Thursday and Saturday nights but Sunday she was able to poop quite a bit. She fell asleep super-fast and hopefully, she'll get to have a good night's rest.
Sunday we all slept in because we were up with Mary. We went to the temple and had a nice morning walk before getting ready for church at 1:30 pm. It was a great meeting and I had fun in RS getting to know more of the sisters in the ward. After church, we watched the Super Bowl. Paul was happy that Kansas City won.
