We had a wheel come off the track of our garage door so we spent Monday and Tuesday getting it fixed. When we were going out, Mary wanted to get herself into her car seat and do her own buckle. She is getting very independent. I negotiate more with her now that she is getting very good at asserting her will.

Tuesday Mary came with me to teach with the sisters because their investigator has a 15 month old. It was a little crazy because it was Mary's nap time so she was distracted but the sisters seemed happy.

Happy birthday to Andrew on Thursday! Paul went to work super early so he could be home to go to the Trunk or Treat with us. I made some chili for the ward dinner. Mary was Alice in Wonderland and I was the Cheshire Cat. Mary only wanted to play at one station that was playing music and had numbers which makes sense because she loves dancing and can count to 10 by herself! Then we did the trunk or treat and headed home. Mary loved going around and saying trick or treat and getting candy.

Friday was Nevada Day and we didn't want to run into traffic so we left Friday morning and drove to Sacramento. We hung out around Auburn in the morning then we got ready for the game. We went to the Kings v. Warriors game and, no surprise, the Warriors won! Stephen Curry is Paul's favorite player, and it was really fun to see him play live, especially since he had a great game.

Saturday we explored Old Sacramento, a spot in downtown Sacramento that’s maintained the old look and has some fun shops and restaurants. It is also next to an old train yard and the Sacramento River that we explored. It is only a couple blocks away from the state capitol, so we walked around there for a little bit. They had a multicultural festival going on while we walked around, which was fun. Then we walked around the mall by our hotel before going in and they had a shoe sale so Paul treated me to a new pair for his birthday haha.

Sunday was Paul's birthday! Sacramento has an association of apple farms so we went to Hill High Farm to check out one of them. We did a hay ride, saw some ponies, and got some really yummy apple donuts. We drove home the scenic way by going around Lake Tahoe instead of the interstate. It was a great weekend!
