Monday was Clare’s last day with us so we went to Fallon for a little bit of fun. We went to Los Gallos for lunch, it went okay for taking kids to a restaurant. Then we went to Fallon Walmart to pick out some fleece and went home and made fleece blankets. They didn’t have a lot of choices so Clare and I both made cabin vibe/camo patterned blankets. I made one for Mary that was pink with white bunnies on it. After that we made Oreo truffles like we used to in high school. You mix a package of crushed Oreos with a block of cream cheese then dip that in melted chocolate, easy and yummy. Mary yelled in frustration: oh biscuits!
Clare got on the road the next morning, before the girls woke up. I was kind of relieved to not have to clean or run errands or entertain someone so Mary and I took turns watching movies and I finished the Oreo truffles (Clare thankfully took 2/3 of them with her for her trip home). Mary watched Tinker bell and Spider-Man and I watched the first 3 twilight movies. I got a few Christmas cards addressed, so that was productive. Mary was sneezy and sniffly, so I'm glad we stayed inside and chilled today. Mary got up a few times, understandably, and Katie was overtired at 8 pm, also understandable. I was overstimulated with Mary crawling and jumping on me all day and constantly holding Katie. I love my girlies but I was looking forward to getting some space.
We had a playdate scheduled for Wednesday but Mary is still feeling sick, poor girl. I got both girls bathed and cleaned the house. It got pretty dirty yesterday while we were just relaxing and watching movies. I ran errands in the morning and I was grateful I did because I found out after getting home that a man had stabbed his adoptive parents and was on the run from the police. The schools were immediately put on lock down and there was a shelter in place order for Wednesday and Thursday.
We didn’t go to exercise class, Mary’s still feeling sick. I finished cleaning and put the laundry away. They caught the murderer right before we left to pick Paul up from the airport. Paul was excited to give Mary her jiggly puff toy. We’re glad to have him home safe and sound.
Friday Paul went to work though he could’ve used more sleep. I cleaned up the house and got us ready for the day. We watched movies and during one of them it was nighttime and Mary said, "It's dark. I need to go to bed." We were playing later and she was pretending to be upset and said, "that is it!"
Saturday we watched movies in the morning. We ran errands and I cleaned a little bit before putting Katie to bed and Paul put Mary to bed. Mary got out of bed and cuddled with us until Katie fell asleep and then I put her back to bed.
Sunday we finished straightening up then drove to Paul's work so he could return Hiro's charger. We grabbed some groceries on the way home and pizza to have on Christmas day. We had the Roberts Christmas party via zoom and Mary sang "Let it Go" for the program, she did a great job! We watched some Christmas movies until bedtime.
