March 10-16, 2025

Monday we all slept in. When we all were awake we played in Mary's room then made breakfast. I put Katie down for a nap then pumped. Once Katie got up we drove to Fallon and got Little Caesars pizza. It was good but my tooth is still sore from getting a filling last week. We went to the park and played for an hour before heading back home. We went to Walmart for some fig newtons and chocolate milk. I tried to put Katie down for a nap but it didn't take. I pumped then cleaned up a bit. Paul made scones and I used up the rest of our honey and made honey butter. Katie went down for a nap then. We watched The Incredibles then Katie woke up. Paul fed her while I taught violin. I brushed Mary's teeth after the lesson then put Katie to bed and Paul put Mary to bed. I pumped again before going to sleep.

Tuesday marked our 8 year anniversary of the day we got engaged. Paul went to work at the normal time. Mary woke me up and I made her waffles then pumped. Katie got up and I gave the girls a bath together. Mary likes playing with Katie and they have fun together in the bath, Katie seems to be very calm and happy in the water. I put Katie down for a nap then exercised. I had a long chat with Debbie but it was okay because the weather was warm so I went outside and watched Mary play. I found poop in our grass which confused me for a while but we figured it must have been a cat or raccoon or some animal that climbs over fences that must have come in the night sometime. Katie got up and joined us outside. We blew bubbles and played on the trampoline before heading back inside. I put a Tinkerbell movie on for Mary and put Katie down for a nap. Paul got home and had some leftover pizza. We spent some time together before getting the girls to bed.

Wednesday was a lazy morning of getting breakfast and playing. I put Katie down for a nap then pumped. She only took a short nap. We played in grandma's room then I tried to put Katie down for a nap. I did 2/3 of my workout before I came in and cuddled with Katie and helped her calm down. She didn't go to sleep so we got up for a bit and I cleaned my room and bathroom. Then Katie was ready for her nap and I kept cleaning the house. Mary and I organized the pantry and Mary helped me do some meal prep. Paul got home and I put the laundry away. We watched inside out and I brushed Mary's teeth. I tried to put Katie to bed but she wasn't quite ready. I pumped then put her to bed properly. Katie slept restlessly from 9 pm to 12:30 am. I got her milk and she slept more soundly until 4 am. I gave her her binky and she slept another hour before getting up to eat.

It was 6 am by the time she went back to sleep, so I got up and pumped. I took a quick shower then we went to the exercise class at the church. Lindsay Durocher taught REFIT. It was fun to talk with the other moms and Mary got to play with her friends for the first time this week. Katie went down for a nap when we got home and I pumped. Mary watched Inside Out 2 while I pumped and cleaned. Mary and I played together then Katie joined us once she woke up. I gave Katie a bottle then bathed the girls. We played in grandma's room before Katie took another nap. I put Charlotte's Web on for Mary while I pumped and she fell asleep on the couch. I was happy about that because she seemed sick. I sent out some texts for ministering interviews and heard back from a handful of sisters. Paul came home, he had a bad day at work. It helped that he was playing with Katie and she is always so excited to see her dad (or sister, or mom) she will flail her arms and kick her legs, it is so cute! My cousin, Jennie (Rasband) Howell, texted me and sent me an old photo of us from 1998 (we would have been 3 - Mary's age now). We talked for a bit about mom life, she just had her second baby, a boy, at the end of February. We watched a movie as a family then I brushed Mary's teeth and Paul put her to bed while I put Katie to bed. Katie was up twice to eat and Mary got up at 11:30 with a nightmare but went back to sleep quickly.

Friday Paul went to work and I pumped. The girls got up and we played together for an hour before Katie went down for a nap. I exercised then we got ready and went to Rachael Barajas's house for a playdate. Mary loved playing with her daughters' dress ups and she put on an Elsa dress once EverLee Gochenour was done with it and Mary ran around the kitchen and living room singing Let it Go from Frozen and she did all the actions and everything, it was amazing. We got home and I put Katie down for a nap and pumped. Katie didn't sleep long and Paul got home early. We went to Walmart and did our week shop and got some new bottles for Katie and Moana fruit snacks for Mary. Paul was really tired that night but didn't go to bed early enough because Katie woke back up and he gave her a bottle while I put Mary to bed. I'm glad I got my pumping done before bedtime.

Saturday we took Mary to dance class where she got her ballet costume. She got a pastel blue one and looks like a cinderella ballerina in it. She'll get a tap costume as well and Mom is going to a dance with her and will get a white dress to go with Mary's blue dress. We got home and put Katie down for a nap then I pumped. I cleaned and bathed Mary then showered. Katie got up and I got out the box of new books we got from Grandma Wendy. Katie went down for her second nap then I was super tired and laid down for an hour while Mary played with toys and books. I pumped again and read books with Mary at the table. Paul got home early and we went to Wendy's together. We watched Cinderella and Mulan. I put Katie to bed but she got up before the movies were over, so she sat by me in her bouncer while I pumped. Paul went to bed and I put Mary to bed then Katie. Katie got up at midnight and 2:30 am then slept until 9:30 am. Mary got up at 1:30 but went back to sleep quickly. Paul got up and answered work emails at 3 am, which I yelled at him for. I was mad that I put both kids to bed by myself and got up with them 3 times already and he got up to work but couldn't help me with the kids. He said sorry and that he will do better.

I got up at 7 am and pumped and got ready to go. I had ward council at 9 then grabbed chocolate milk on the way home. Paul made scones while I was gone and fed Katie. We played hide and seek and played in grandma's room before I put Katie down for a nap and pumped again. We made lunch and I typed up the minutes from ward council and sent them to Debbie. We have a Winnie the Pooh movie marathon going. Hopefully we'll do something fun this afternoon but it is very windy today and that discourages anything outdoorsy.
