Monday morning Katie got up at 4:40 to eat. She is really good at getting up just early enough that I can't get Paul to get up and get the bottle for me, because he gets up at 5 am. Paul went to work at 7:20. Katie got up shortly after he left then Mary was up. I got the girls breakfast then did some picking up in the living room before I made breakfast for myself (after 8 am for my intermittent fasting). We went into Mary's room and played for a little while then we watched Spidey together since Mary didn't pee in her underwear in the last 24 hours. I put Katie down for a nap and turned on Oliver and Company for Mary. Mary sat on the toilet for a while while watching her movie. When she finally stood up she said, "My foot is sparkly, it hurts. It's freezing!" (describing pins and needles) I exercised and wrote my paragraph for the last week, then put dishes away before Katie woke up. I put the laundry away, vacuumed the front two rooms, cleaned the girl's bathroom, and practiced the violin before Katie was ready to nap again. I did some ec's then Mary helped me with meal prep. Paul got home and had dinner (cowboy casserole) and Katie got up from her nap. Paul was playing with Mary and she was chasing him, she cut him off and spread her arms out. She said, "going somewhere?" We started watching Finding Nemo together and I left to teach Lizzy violin. After that I sat with the girls while Paul watered the grass. I brushed Mary's teeth then I put Katie to bed. She was a little restless and she got up to eat at 1 am and 5 am.
Tuesday Paul went to work at the normal time. Mary slept in until 8:30, then she came into my room and said, "Rise and Shine!" Katie got up with us after that. We had breakfast then I cleaned up the house and finished making my lunches for the week. Katie went down for a nap and I exercised then watered the grass. I colored with Mary for a bit. Mary said, "Will you color with me? Have a seat. Take a seat." Katie got up and I took the girls on a scooter walk. Katie took another nap while Mary played outside and I cooked the lamb for our dinner. It tasted delicious to me, I thought it was as good as a filet mignon. I grilled asparagus and pineapple as well. I roasted some potatoes in the oven. I was having a lot of fun cooking on the grill and was making excited noises. Mary said, "Are you excited? Why are you squeaking?" Paul liked the lamb and potatoes but noticed too much of the chemical taste from the lighter fluid in the asparagus and pineapple and didn't eat that. I was okay with it because I remember the chicken kabobs being funky. Paul watched Cinderella with the girls while I taught Peter violin. Paul practiced guitar when I was done. Paul put Katie to bed and I put Mary to bed. Katie was up to eat at 11:40 and 4:45. She was up at 3 am too but went back to sleep with her binky.
Katie stayed in the bed after she finished with her bottle around 5. Paul got up and did his walk, exercise, and morning ec's. He went to work and Katie got up at 8 am. I showered then Mary got up. We had breakfast then I bathed the girls. I took them to the park where we met up with 4 other families (Lindsay Durocher, Rachael Barajas, Bailey Earl, and Janet - I don't know Janet's last name). Rachael, Bailey, and Janet were at the park already and so they left by 11:30. Lindsay came to meet up with us so we stayed at the park for another hour or so. We talked about how they are going camping for Memorial Day, the pros and cons of Sam's Club vs. Costco, and we both vented about our husbands jobs. It sounds like David and Paul face similar challenges and frustrations at work. After the park I put Katie down for a nap and I cleaned up my closet and room quickly then left her to sleep. I made lunch for me and Mary then we watched tv together. I exercised then finished watching one of the Cinderella movies with Mary. I did some ec's then tried to take a little nap but that didn't really take so I played with Mary then we picked up the toys in the playroom, cleaned the office, collected the trash, and I practiced violin. Katie got up then and I gave her a bottle. We cleaned the living room then I put Katie in the baby carrier when I started to clean the kitchen. It is a trade off because it hurts my back to clean with her in the carrier because I bend down a lot, but I don't want her to be sad. I told Mary to grab something and put it away, I said it was on the floor and Mary said, "No, it's on the table, you silly!" I cleaned Mary's room then we went outside and I watered the grass. I got the trash from the yard and took our garbage can to the street. April invited us over to get raspberry bush shoots/starters to plant in our yard. We went over there and I held Katie while April dug up some shoots for me. Mary played in the backyard with April's daughter Anna (11yo) and they both had a blast. April gave Mary a pen with a hairy rainbow monster on it and Mary was instantly in love with it. She kept in with her constantly until she drew on her skin for the third time and I had to take it away, but that wasn't until Friday. Both Mary and Katie liked petting April's bunny and cat. We headed home and I saw that Paul was driving home too and was in Fernley, so I called him and asked him to get some garden soil from Lowe's on his way home so we could plant the raspberry shoots. He wasn't happy about it but he did it. He came home and had had a terrible day at work and was really frustrated. We talked it out, Mary is a force for good in our house. She comes up to us when we are mad or loud and tells us to "relax" or "calm down" or better yet, "take a deep breaf and count to ten". By the time we got to a good spot emotionally, it was time to put the girls to bed and there wasn't time to plant the shoots. I watered them in the pot April gave me but that was it. Paul played with Mary and got the bottles ready for me. I brushed Mary's teeth then got Katie to bed. Mary stayed with Paul while he practiced guitar then he put her to bed. Katie got up to eat at 2:45 am and 5 am.
Katie stayed in our bed after her 5 am bottle. I got up before the girls and got ready for the exercise class. I watered the raspberry shoots again. Katie got up around 8 but I had to wake Mary up at 8:50 to get her ready to go. The church is getting new carpet this week so we met up at Green Valley Park and April taught Zumba on the pickleball courts. The kids loved being outside and played on the playground together. We stayed until 11:15. I put Katie down for a nap then put Spidey on for Mary but the internet went out, so I had to restart the modem. I got that fixed just in time and hopped on my computer for a live dscout interview. It was only 30 minutes long, which was nice. I had lunch with Mary then Katie got up from her nap early because she had a poopy diaper. I took the girls outside with me and finally got to plant the raspberry shoots. They were pretty wilty by this point but I still tried. The ground is so hard in our backyard, our bushes have struggled. I broke up the ground with our pickaxe then shoveled a little ditch then filled it with the garden soil. I did one bag or garden soil then planted the raspberry plants, added the fertilizer I used for the grass (I'm not sure if that was the right one but hopefully it will work), then I used the second bag of garden soil to really surround the plants. I used the misplaced dirt to create a wall so the soil won't run down the dirt square when I water. Then I watered them thoroughly, watered the grass, trees, and bushes, then watered the raspberries again. I watched tv with the girls then put Katie down for a nap. I cleaned up the house, cleaned out the chest freezer in the garage then played with Mary. Paul came home early so Paul, Mary, and I made dinner together (chimichangas from the freezer and nachos). Katie got up and joined us. I fed her then we played outside with Mary. I got myself cleaned up then taught Peter violin. Paul put Katie to bed and I put Mary to bed. Debbie Young texted me earlier in the day that I needed to do a food order so I was figuring out what all was entailed with that so I was texting Debbie, Nicole Hardman, Bishop Hoopes, and Mirandy (Mirandy needed the food order, Nicole was going to come with me, and Debbie and Bishop were telling me what I needed to do). I was still feeling lost at the end of the day so I called Marilyn Bostwick after Mary was asleep and asked her all my questions. She helped me the most and I felt good about it after that. I had a phone call with the Bishop after that too and got more guidance. In the end the Bishop wanted me to meet with Mirandy in person but she either didn't want to or really was too busy, so we ended up not doing the food order for her.
Friday morning Mary woke me up by coming in the bed to cuddle. Katie got up and we all saw Paul off to work. I turned the sprinkler on then got breakfast for us. After breakfast I finished watering then we played outside together before I put Katie down for a nap. Mary and I watched tv for about 30 minutes then Katie was up again. She watched with us then Katie pooped. Mary and Katie played in the playroom while I cleaned and made pizza for lunch. I bathed the girls then took a shower. While I was washing Katie I said to Mary, "Look how soapy Katie is!" and Mary replied, "She's like a snowman!" Katie went down for a nap and I watched tv with Mary. We played outside and I watered again. Paul grabbed dinner from Jehova es mi Pastor, a Mexican taqueria that we like. Paul gets the al pastor taco meal and I get the quesabirria tacos. We watched Oliver and Company then I brushed Mary's teeth and put Katie to bed. Katie slept great, she slept 7 hours and only got up at 5 am to eat.
Saturday we all slept in as long as possible. I got out of bed at 7:30 and got me and Mary ready for dance. While I was doing Mary's hair I said, "do you want breakfast?" She said, "I want dinner" I said, "you mean breakfast, because breakfast is just the first meal you eat after you wake up," she said, "oh, dinner is only on Sunday." Mary got an Elsa bracelet from her dance teacher then we got gas and picked up groceries before heading home. We made breakfast together (Paul made scones and I made the bacon and fried eggs). Mary finished breakfast before us and started playing while we were still eating. She grabbed an empty milk box and put it on her head. She was walking around saying, "beep boop" then ran into Paul (on purpose) and said, "Whoopsie!" Paul said, "are you a robot?" she said, "no, I'm just a box! beep boop." It was really windy and a big wind and dust storm hit Fernley from 11 am to 1 pm. It was too bad because there was an outdoor market/festival going on in downtown Fernley. Luckily it really did end at 1 pm. I made a veggie tray and had to make a homemade dip because the one I tried to buy from Walmart was unavailable. It was okay because it turned out good but I made too much. I grabbed an unopened box of diapers and the tray and went to Arielle Tomlinson's house for ShaLay's baby shower. I kind of felt bad for not getting a nicer gift for ShaLay but I was the only one who brought food to help Arielle out, so I'm counting that as a win. I won a prize for winning one of the shower games (find the most tiny babies around the house). I still feel guilty because I cheated. Rachael Barajas had 8 and she was giving them away since she wasn't going to win, so I took hers and beat everyone else because of that, so I feel kind of bad about that. My prize was a cute cup, bath salt, and a candle. I might have overstayed as well because I was the last person to leave other than ShaLay, I was just enjoying my "time off". I went home and watched Cinderella 3 with Paul and the girls. Paul went to Walmart to get some stuff for his week and finish getting his steps in. While he was gone I watered the grass and cleaned the house. I was washing the pans when he got home. He got mad because the beef he bought has trans fat in it and he was thinking we were going to have to return it and get a different brand or leanness but it turns out that all beef has trans fat, but it isn't the same trans fat as the one that is bad for you. We went on a family walk to the park. Paul was telling Mary to do something and to listen, she responded, "I want to listen to you but I want to do swings!" After we got home I fed Katie then Paul put her to bed. While I was feeding Katie Mary came by on her bike and said, "Do you want to play with me?" I said yes and she said, "yay! hop on!" (gesturing for me to get on her toddler bike with her). I played with Mary in the playroom before putting her to bed and while we were playing she said, "Twisty is my friend. He wrote me a letter!" I put Mary to bed and put the pork in some coke and brown sugar to marinade overnight. I was brushing my teeth and I heard Mary get out of bed. She came in asking for her dad to cuddle with her so I told her to go to the office, which she calls "daddy's job" and she sobbed asking Paul to come cuddle with her. He did and got her back to sleep. She loves her dad so much. Paul finished practicing guitar then came to bed. Katie ate at midnight and 5 am.
Paul went on his Sunday walk at 6 am. Mary got up at 7:30 but I still stayed in bed another 20 minutes before getting up. Katie was awake too so I got her in a clean diaper and clothes and got Mary breakfast before I got myself ready for church. I got dinner in the crockpot and went to ward council. Paul got home while I was still getting ready and I left a list of things for him to do since I would be gone and he did it all! He is so awesome. I came back to pick Mary up then we went back for the two hour block. There was an ice cream social after church and I got Mary a sherbet cone then we came home again. I finished making dinner and we ate together. The pork was good but the rice-a-roni was mushy and gelatinous, which was unfortunate. We had some chocolate cake then watched some of the Princess Bride before I attempted to put Katie down for a nap and take a nap myself. She didn't sleep because she had a painful poop. Paul took her after that and I tried to nap but it didn't take. I came out and played with the girls while Paul called Elaine and Sam and Terry. After that Paul did some writing then we went to the park. We came home and watered the raspberry plants and I fed Katie then brushed Mary's teeth. Paul put her to bed and I put Katie to bed then I wrote my paragraph for the week. It was a little self-sabotaging because I really need to get some sleep and it is already 10:30 pm.
