Monday morning Paul put Katie in the bed around 6 where she and I fell back to sleep. Paul went to work at 7:20 like normal. When I got up at 7 with Katie I started cleaning by starting with my closet then Mary woke up and joined us. I got the girls breakfast then finished my room. I didn't have to do the bathroom because Paul did it yesterday. I try to put Katie down but she wasn't ready for a nap yet. I took the girls outside while we watered the grass and plants. After that Katie went to sleep. I kept cleaning and Mary played. Katie woke up shortly because she had a poopy diaper. She was up for a little bit while I was still cleaning but wanted to go back to sleep. I put her down then turned on a show for Mary while I exercised. I cooked chicken and bacon for the meals for the week before Katie woke up. We played outside when Aunt Hannah FaceTimed us. Mary showed her cousins her dance outfits and Addie said she loved watching Mary dance and told us she just signed up for a tap dance class too. We came in and I bathed the girls. I had my dinner (cobb salad) and I brushed my teeth. I put Paul's dinner together and fed the girls. They weren't going to eat a salad so Mary had cereal and Katie had some veggie chip sticks. Paul was sad to see salad was for dinner but once he tried it he ended up really liking it. We watch Quest for Camelot as a family then went outside and played in the rain. I brushed Mary's teeth and Paul put her to bed while I put Katie to bed. Mary came in and cuddled in the bed. While I was putting Mary back to bed Katie woke up and Paul comforted her back to sleep. Katie woke up at 1 to eat. Mary has been getting more creative lately, she usually asserts her name is Mary whenever we call her anything else but today she pretended her name was Misshands (that's what what she said sounded like) then she changed it to Unicorn. She also made up a story, "Once upon a time there was a pig and he stepping in the mud." [the end].
Tuesday morning Katie woke up at 5:45. I changed her diaper then put her back in her bed with a bottle and she went back to sleep. She got up again at 7 then we saw Paul off to work. Mary got up and I fed the girls breakfast and made some granola for myself. We watered the grass then put away laundry before putting Katie down for a nap. Mary watched Winnie the Pooh while I exercised. I took pictures of a bunch of stuff that I could part with for a price and posted them on Facebook marketplace. Katie woke up with a poopy diaper. I brought the girls in the office with me and practiced the violin then I gave myself a haircut. It looks pretty good, just a trim to freshen up the ends. I cleaned up the yard and mowed the lawn. After I finished, the girls played in the shark pool. When they were done we went inside and I made dinner (taco stuffed sweet potatoes with a cilantro, avocado crema). Katie went down for a nap. While she slept I put a show on for Mary and cleaned up the kitchen. Katie woke up and I put her in the living room with Mary while I took a quick shower. Paul got home and we watched Toy Story 2 as a family. Paul played with Mary then put Katie to bed. I watered the grass and played outside with Mary then put her to bed. Katie was restless, she got up twice but went back to sleep with her binky both times. She had a bottle at 2:45 am. Earlier in the day Mary was sitting on her toy stroller and she yelled to me, "Get me moving!"
Wednesday Paul put Katie in the bed at 6:45 and she went back to sleep for a half hour. Paul was off to work and I got up with Katie to water. Mary joined us and I got them food when we finished outside. Katie went down for a nap and Mary watched a show while I exercised. I took out the trash, practiced violin, and made dinner (chicken korma) before Katie woke up. I took the girls to the Fernley pool where we met up with Jessica and Addie Allen, Lindsay, Josie, and Jack Durocher, Kynlee and Megan Barrette and Kynlee's cousin, Emery, and ShaLay, Lydia, EverLee, and KinsLey Gochenour. There was a school group at the splash pad, so we played in the big pool until the school group left, then we went outside. We got home around 3:30 and I put Katie down for a nap. Mary watched Mulan while I cleaned. Katie woke up and I got ready for the activity. Paul got home and I left right away to go to the church for the relief society activity which was a game night. Some sisters brought snacks and some brought games. Most of us ended up playing Mind the Gap, a generation trivia game. The older ladies played a dice game. There were probably 12 people who came, it was really fun. I got home a little after 8. Paul put Katie to bed and I put Mary to bed. Mary came into our room and we all cuddled together. I put Mary back to bed and gave Katie another bottle.
Thursday morning I woke up very refreshed because Katie did not wake up in the middle of the night! Unfortunately Paul woke up not feeling great. He went to work all the same. The girls got up and we had breakfast together. We watered the plants then went to the church for the exercise class. Lindsay taught REFIT. I got home and the Gochenour's were waiting for us. I babysat her girls while she did a presentation to raise awareness for what her family is doing in Ghana. Paul got home while I was still babysitting. ShaLay came back around 1:30 to get her girls. I gave her 90% of the postpartum stuff I had that I was trying to get rid of. Paul had brought pizza home with him, so we shared that while watching movies. I took the girls outside and we played together for a while before going to bed. Katie got up to eat at 2:45 and 5.
Friday Paul called in sick. He still had meetings at 10:30 and noon. That messed up my plans to take the girls to the library at 10:30 because Katie was too tired so I put her down for a nap but I couldn't just take Mary because Paul couldn't help Katie if she were to wake up while we were gone. I took Mary to Raley's at 9 and we got donuts and treats and I got a candle for Nicole Hardman for her birthday. We watched movies all day and I got us burgers from All Points Grill in the afternoon. I can't remember what she was talking about but Mary said, "It's so yucky, it makes me feel like a skeleton." I tried to put away a ribbon and Mary said, "I want the bow, it's for dinner."
Saturday I finished my audiobook while cuddling Katie. We got up and I made hootenannies then turned on Miss Rachel for Katie. Mary came in and had some breakfast and watched tv with Katie. I put Katie down for a nap with Paul and I exercised then showered. Katie woke up and we all went to Walmart to pick up our groceries. I ran in and grabbed treats as well. I watched a Tinkerbell movie with the girls while Paul rested then I put Katie down for a nap. Mary came with me and we ran some errands then we walked to the park where we inadvertently ran into some people from first ward, they were there for a baby shower at the park. Mary played with some of the kids and wanted to play with the chalk they had brought. She did and proceeded to get very blue with the chalk. She got a lot on her face and when I showed her she felt embarrassed and wanted to go home to get clean. We did walk home and cleaned her off in the bath. After that Mary came with me again to get pizza from Papa Murphy's. She fell asleep on the way home and went back to sleep when I put her in her bed. Paul and I ate the pizza and Katie did pretty good with it as well. I put Katie to bed. Mary came in to cuddle at 10 and I put her back to bed at 10:45 and laid down with her for a little bit before going back to bed. Katie got up to eat at 2:45.
Sunday was Father's Day, which Paul didn't really care about. Katie was up at 5:45. Paul got up at 6 and went on his normal Sunday walk even though he was still feeling sick. While he was gone I watered the grass then was joined by Mary. I turned on music and the girls danced with me and played while I cleaned and started the laundry. Paul got home and did his weekly meal prep. Katie went down for a nap and finished watering. I got the Father's Day gift together for church and made myself breakfast. Katie woke up then and joined Paul and Mary in the living room. I got ready then went to church. I gave the opening prayer then Jennette Geurts and I passed out the popcorn to the men after Sacrament meeting ended. There was a decent amount leftover so I gave the rest to the young men then went home to be with Paul and the girls. I had some leftover pizza then Paul and Katie took nap. Mary and I watched Avatar: The Last Airbender. Katie joined us after a while. Around 5 pm Mary and I went to Fire Forno and picked up dinner for us. Paul got alfredo pasta that was very garlicy and I got a chicken barbecue ranch salad that was very tasty. Mary didn't want any of the food we ordered so she had a cheese stick, orange, and potato chips. I watched Miss Rachel and Little Bear with the girls before putting them to bed.
