Katie: Katie is full crawling this week! She is getting fast and can go across the room on her own. She has gotten stuck under the bed in the playroom and under the couch. She keeps pulling herself up onto her knees. Katie had a good time playing in the sand at Tahoe. I was able to keep her from eating it this time. The Durocher's liked giving Katie stuffed animals when she was at their house because she would grab them and try to eat them. Katie liked taking over Mary's lollipop at the parade.
Mary: Mary loved going to the beach at Lake Tahoe. She played with Lizzy (7 yo) and the kids that were camped out on either side of us. She loves playing with the slime she made at the library. She was not sure about the parade on Friday. She liked getting the toys and candy but didn't like the loudness or getting sprayed with water. She would see a car coming where they were squirting water and run to the sidewalk. “My toy, it’s losing” (losing =missing). We Facetimed Hannah with Addie and Miles, and Wendy with Elaine this week and Mary was much better at talking on the phone and more outgoing. She was excited to show everyone her toys.
Mom: I tried the paddleboard for the first time at Lake Tahoe. Christa was nice enough to let me take one of hers out for a spin. I updated my glasses prescription on Tuesday. I'm still writing the screenplay for Uprooted, I'm about 1/3 through the book. I had to return my library book but I bought it, so I'm just waiting for the physical copy to get here. I've done well with practicing violin this week. I've been discouraged about my body even though I did well with exercising everyday so Dad has helped me set up an account with Lose it! to keep track of my calories and macros.
Dad: Dad has been excited about tracking calories and macros. Work is still giving him grief and he's thinking of biting the bullet and applying to work other places but he will talk to his boss this next week and see if some of the problems can be fixed. We're looking into ways to have some passive income to supplement his salary and hopefully ease some of his stress. He was surprised when I told him about my screenplay passion project but didn't shoot it down, so that's good.
This week's activities: Monday we went to Tahoe with Christa Seamons and her kids. Tuesday the girls went to the Durocher's for an hour while I went to get my eyes checked out. Thursday we went to the library where Mary got to make slime and a bouncy ball. That night we went to Reno and got Outback for dinner because we had a gift card but then we forgot to use it. Then we went to Costco. Friday we went to the parade where Mary got lots of candy. Mary and Katie both got necklaces and rubber ducks.
