Katie is getting more confident and stable on her feet. Her hair is getting longer and thicker. She loves the new rocking chair we got from Tanya Stubbe. She loves playing on it and climbing on it.
Mary said some funny things this week: "The hanger is pokey." "It’s kind of strange." "I’m telling you a question!" "I made Katie smile!" "Katie's claws are too long, she itched me!"
Mom has started running this week to train for a 178 mile relay at the end of May. I'm sore now but excited to keep training.
Dad has studied hard and had some good conversations with lawyers we know to get a better perspective on whether law school is a good fit for us or not and he is feeling good about it and so am I.

Monday I cleaned so much. Mary and Katie were so patient and played great all day. They just watched Nightmare before Christmas as their one movie and surprisingly it didn't scare Mary. Katie was such a happy baby and kept smiling and laughing at me and Mary. Mary was so patient with me. I wasn't paying too much attention to her and I was ornery and she never retaliated. Dad did a great job at work and he reached all of his health goals.
Wednesday was New Year's Eve. Dad stayed home from work and we had fun walking around Walmart as a family. Dad talked to Mom's old boss, Scott Griggs, about law school and a future in patent law and got some good information and perspective out of that conversation.
Thursday was New Year's Day. I went on a run then Dad had to work a little bit. Once he got home we watched some movies, we all took naps then we read scriptures together and put the girls to bed.
Friday I went on another run, we did a grocery run. Dad stayed home from work. We went to Ponderosa Park for a little bit.
Saturday I rested from running, I was really sore. We went for a walk to Green Valley Park as a family then came home and had pizza together. I did a bike workout to help my muscles recover. We played games as a family and read scriptures together.
Sunday we did yoga as a family then went on a walk. I got the girls bathed and we went to church as a family. We came home and played games then had chicken cordon bleu for dinner. Dad called his uncle, Greg, and talked to him about his experience in law school and got some great info from him as well. We have a new set up for family time: we have 30 minutes of dedicated time where we pray together, read the scriptures, read a story book, Mary practices reading, and we play games together for the rest of the 30 minutes. I usually try to do most, if not all, of these things at bedtime with Mary and it always feels rushed and stressful. I'm so grateful we're doing it as part of our family time earlier in the day.

Mary takes a picture of her shoes. Both are on the wrong foot and I don't think she's wearing a sock with her bluey shoe.
