Katie is so cute. She will say, "cheese!" when I take her picture. She'll also say, "Can I try?" "I did it!" "Where are you?" "I found it!" "[can] I see it?' We'll ask her how her day was and she'll say, "good." On Thursday, after the exercise class, she walked over to Lindsay Durocher and just climbed into her lap and hugged her. She cuddled with her for about 5 minutes.
Mary loves Pokémon. She'll say the team rocket mantra all day, she loves to pretend to be Jessie. I asked her to close the door to outside and she said, "but I need the air!"
Mom: I was getting ready for my date with Dad and tried to curl my bangs using a cheap round brush but as soon as I wrapped my hair around the brush, it was super stuck. Dad came in and cut the bristles off the brush, coated my tangled hair in conditioner, and used a wood skewer to get my hair off. Luckily minimal hair was lost and I didn't even need to wear a hat to the date!
Dad had another hard week at work. They are still figuring things out after all the layoffs. He is discouraged and frustrated but has come up with a plan that will hopefully make things better for him.
Monday I taught violin in the evening. Tuesday Mary had dance and Katie and I played at the park. We went to the library after picking Mary up. Wednesday I went for a run, bathed the girls, picked up groceries then we met up with our friends at the park. Lindsay, ShaLay, and Penelope all came.
Thursday we went to the exercise class. That evening I subbed piano for 3 classes. That night Dad and I got woken up by a 4.9 magnitude earthquake. We felt two waves but I guess it was only counted as the same earthquake and not a separate one. Friday was May first, so I mopped the floor. Dad got home from work early and was pretty upset. We had pizza for dinner and Katie came with me to get some treats. Saturday I taught Alex in his first private lesson and I thought it went well! His mom messaged me later to tell me that he is excited about playing the violin again. That afternoon Charlotte Chapman came over and babysat for us while Dad and I went on a date to Reno. We got dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings and shared the Pick 6. We walked around Smith's then picked up Dad's lunch box he left at work on the way home. Sunday I bathed the girls. We had a discussion then ended up going to Carson City and got pizza at Flat Earth pizza. Mary rode her bike at the park we like that's by Costco but then it started to rain and there was also a lightning storm. We went home after that and Facetimed with family.
