Katie has caught on to Mary's love of Pokémon and loves to say, "Jessie!" and "Jiggly Puff!"
Mary: I asked her, "Do you want to cuddle with me since you feel sick?" She said, "Not a chance!" Katie bumped into Mary while they were playing and Mary said, "Watch it, kid." Mary was feeling sick and wanted to watch Pokémon but I told her we were done with TV until Dad got home. She said, "Is dad still on the earth?" We made rice crispy treats on Sunday and Mary kept calling them, "rice Christmas trees"
Mom: I worked on color a lot this week. I did color analysis reports for Emma (James' wife), Grandpa Steve, and Nana. I also developed my logo and started working on my work desk with ShaLay. She used her new sander to get the old paint off. The grass was getting crazy, so I mowed that as well. I have not had a great week of exercising because I have had a hard time breathing and with fatigue. I went into urgent care on Saturday to get that figured out and I'll write more about what happened in the main paragraph, but it did not go well.
Dad is really motivated by Tom Platz who is a retired competitive weight lifter - specifically in squatting. Dad has done a great job exercising and eating well this week. He came to the hospital with me on Saturday and got an inhaler to help with his cough. We also got the value per share from Clyde this week and that put Dad in a good mood.
Monday we did not watch Josie and Jack because Lindsay was feeling pain in her hips and not able to teach her fitness class. I taught violin that night but just to Amelia and Penny, Lizzy was feeling sick so I missed her this week.
Tuesday I took the girls to dance and taught violin to Daisy. After that ShaLay came over with her kids. The kids all played together and we worked on sanding the old paint off the desk. She gave me a list of things to get for the desk (paint, hardware, primer, wood putty) so we can get going on that next time, hopefully.
Wednesday we went to the park with Lindsay and her kids and we stayed there from 11 am to 1:30 pm. It was great for the kids to get out and it was a beautiful day. It was nice for me to hang out with Lindsay as well.
Thursday we went to the exercise class. That was hard for me because I didn't sleep well the night before, Mary was up with nightmares and she couldn't breathe well out of her nose, and I have been short of breath lately but I tried my best to keep up with the workout. ShaLay offered to watch Mary and Katie for me while I went to Lowe's to get stuff for the desk so I dropped them off at her house and went to Lowe's and Walmart to pick up our weekly groceries. I picked the girls back up at 1 pm, so they got to play for a couple of hours which was good.
Friday I took the girls to the library where we went to reading time and did a craft of painting flowers. I picked up my book that I requested in March, it finally came! It's on personal color. At home, I sent Emma her color report.
Saturday I woke up at 3 to put Mary back to bed and realized I was very out of breath. I got nervous but eventually went back to sleep. I got up at 6 to go on a run and I couldn't go because I couldn't breathe well enough. I was about to go to urgent care but realized it didn't open until 9am. Dad exercised and I worked on Grandpa Steve's color report. We made breakfast together then Dad took an LSAT practice test. I cleaned the house, watered the lawn, got the kids ready, and showered. I went to the urgent care to figure out why I have been short of breath so I can get ready for the RTO relay in two weeks. They found some fluid in my left lung but they couldn't rule out if I had a pulmonary embolism or not, so they sent me to the ER in Reno. I went home and Sarah Johnson watched Mary and Katie while Dad and I went to Reno. Dad also checked in so he could find out about his cough and the pain in his side. They said the pain in his side is a muscle pushing through his ribs and causing pain. They gave him an inhaler for his cough. They gave me an EKG right away then I waited in the waiting room for 1.5 hours. I finally got a room where I got a check x-ray and a blood draw. My white blood cell count was high and my D-Dimer was high. That means I have an infection in my lungs and D-Dimer can mean my body is fighting a blood clot, so then they ordered a CT scan for me. There's only 3 in the whole hospital, so that took a while to get me in but it came back clear. They made sure my oxygen didn't drop too bad by walking me around the ER then they discharged me. Dad went to pick up the girls at 6 pm and got back at the same time I was discharged, so neither of us had to wait. We went to Chik-fil-a and Smith's then went home and went straight to bed. Sunday we just hung out and rested. The doctor told me I probably wouldn't be up to race in the RTO so I texted Christa and let her know.
