Katie sometimes gets frustrated, when she does she stomps her foot. Things she said this week: "I try?", "please, thank you", " I funny". She liked to say "I try?" When I was doing chores like sweeping, laundry, watering plants, and putting dishes away.
Mary let me know when she thought things were gross this week. She said, "gross" or "ew" a lot this week, it was pretty funny.
Mom: I am having fun with my color projects and learning more about analysis. I got another course on udemy that I started this week.
Dad is still frustrated at work but is getting closer to a new balance after everything shifted with the layoffs.

Monday we watched Josie and Jack. Katie was so excited when they walked in the door that she jumped up and down (she can't quite jump yet, so it's more like excited stomping). I taught violin that night.
Tuesday I took both Mary and Katie to tumbling and I taught violin while they were in dance. It was a good set up. The teachers said that Katie did a good job and Mary would help her if she got distracted. We went to the library after for a little bit.
Wednesday we went to the park with our friends. ShaLay, Lindsay, Naomi, Virginia, and Megan all came. Thursday we went to the exercise class. It was just April, ShaLay, Cheryl, and me. ShaLay and I stayed until 11:30 just talking and the girls played. I sold some guitar stuff after, which Dad was really excited about.
Saturday I felt sick and wasn't able to go for a run. Alex, my violin student, had his last swim meet of the season so he canceled his violin lesson for that day.
Sunday was Mother's Day. That morning we got treats at Grocery outlet, breakfast at Taco Bell then I prepped my lesson and bathed the girls before getting ready for church myself. I had a YW presidency meeting before church then Katie pooped right as we were going into the chapel, so I went outside to change her. The girls were kind of crazy during sacrament meeting. Katie kept running away and Mary would follow me trying to catch her. Norm Johnson approached me after the meeting and said I should sit with them next week so they can help me with my kids, which was thoughtful. After church Dad and I fought about Emily and Ben's weddings in August and how long we're staying with family and how we'll get home from Denver with the kids staying sane, etc. I rage cleaned the house and we ignored each other for a few hours then came to an agreement but it wasn't the Mother's Day I was hoping for. I did buy myself a hair straightener since mine is breaking, so that was good. The gift from church was a cute cup that had candy in it.
