Monday we drove down to Provo and met up with Matt, Hannah, their kids, and Andy at Sam and Terry's house. Hallie and Christian were also there. It was so fun to have the kids play together. We were there for about an hour before we went to Brick Oven for lunch then walked around BYU campus. Matt and Hannah flew back to Texas and I took the girls to Wendy's house. The girls were really hot and tired from an eventful weekend and went to bed early that night.
Tuesday we went to the zoo with Nana. The girls loved the train and did the carousel twice! It was overcast and drizzled a little which was so perfect. Wednesday we were going to get together with Collette but the girls woke up all worn out so we rescheduled. They were more rested by the afternoon and Ben and Kylee took them to a waterfall then to the park. They had so much fun!
Thursday we met up with Clare Schramm in Lehi. We went to Oh No Bagels which is a new bagel shop that opened up at the beginning of the summer. The guy who owns it is in a podcast I've listened to for 6 years called Murder with my Husband. He was there and I got a picture with him lol. They bagels are served hot and I got peach cream cheese. It was yummy! We went to a park close by that had a playground and a splash pad. The girls had a great time and it was so much fun to catch up with Clare.
Friday we went to Heber with Nana, Grandpa, Peter, Mykael and their kids. We went on the Heber Creeper train ride. It was rainy which was refreshing and it was so green. The girls loved it. We got burgers and shakes after. The kids loved playing with the rocks in front of the restaurant. We looked at the Heber property and where the temple is being built. Seeing Reed and Lois's house brought back so many childhood memories. We drove to Wendy's house for the evening.
Saturday we went to the zoo with Grandma Wendy. The girls were excited to ride the train and carousel again. Mary got a hummingbird painted on her face. The girls loved the playground and the gift shop. We got yummy Greek food for dinner that night. Sunday we went to church with Wendy. We made a creamy tomato chicken pasta for dinner then played a really fun strategy board game. Mary said, "I gotta see this" this week and that made me smile. Dad did a great job with his exercise and nutrition goals.
